Kandalama Lodge ligt in Dambulla in de regio Matale (district), dicht bij Popham's Arboretum. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en toegang tot een binnenzwembad. Het ontbijt was uitstekend. Je kon kiezen tussen een traditioneel oosters ontbijt of een westers ontbijt. Alle ingrediënten waren vers en uitstekend bereid. Ook het diner was van zeer hoge kwaliteit. Proef zeker de rijst met curry schotel. Het was de beste die wij in Sri Lanka gegeten hebben. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en stond steeds klaar om aan je wensen te voldoen. Het hotel is kleinschalig en een ware oase van rust. Wij zouden hier zeker terugkeren.

Sigiriya Hillside View Villa ligt op 2,6 km van Sigiriya Rock en biedt een tuin en een terras. De accommodaties hebben airconditioning, een balkon en gratis WiFi. Everything! It was cozy, equipped with everything you Need. Peaceful, clean and chilled location. The owners were very kind, helpful and hospitable, they kept checking on us even though we were barely staying for one night. The food was lovely, simple and exceptional. It’s way more worth than the price they charge. Worth the money. It’s a must stay if you are looking for a getaway with serenity.

Nice View Lodge ligt in Sigiriya, op 2,3 km van Sigiriya Rock en 5,5 km van Pidurangala-rots. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi, airconditioning, een tuin en een terras. I am telling you guys! This is like a five-star hotel quality stay! I am travelling around Sri Lanka and this lodge, is the best decision I made! I stay at the double room that is on the second floor. The host welcome me when I arrive and take my life-threatening heavy luggage upstairs. And after I enter the room, I am like,”wooooooooow”. It’s a five star hotel, honestly. The big toilet and bathroom, clean and tidy with everything you needed. The TERRACE! Its fire!!! I could’ve shoot a music video here. All the plants are so well planted and design. That chill afternoon of me sitting in the terrace is going to be imprinted in my memory for as long as possible. I can tell by other guests face as well, when they are sitting on the swing beds in front of their rooms, they are having the best moments. I am fully refresh after a long journey around the island and sigiriya has made it to the list of my most favourite place. The breakfast is amazing !!! The host, he is an angel. He just looks like he had been trained in like top class hotel with all his service and manners. I loved it so much with the breakfast call, the arrangement and introduction for all the amazing activity around sigiriya. I went around the town with the tuktuk the host booked and the driver is friendly af! Showing me all those monkeys explaining the culture in sigiriya before I get to the rock. NO MOSQUITOS AT ALL.

Superb, nothing less. The service was excellent: e.g. the the breakfast was great, they arranged a driver (at a competitive price) for a trip, and they just had an eye for the small details that would make our stay worthwhile. Good shower and a comfortable bed. Sigiriya Rock is at walking distance.

Everything was perfect—cozy and felt just like home. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day. Anil and his family were incredibly hospitable, going above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of. The warm atmosphere and their genuine care made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Clean room with stunning view of lions rock, great air conditioning. The breakfasts were delicious and different every morning. Had scooter or bike hire to get into town. The family were so lovely and cooked the best dinners. They even arranged a us a tuk tuk for a sunrise walk up Pidurangala Rock as well as a Safari. They also arranged us a drive to take us to our next location.
