The showers were cool and refreshing after a long day surfing in the sun. The staff were the absolute nicest ever. I asked my daughter if she'd have rather stayed at the big million dollar property in the beach front and she said "no way, the vibe and staff at Casa Austera is the best in Guatemala"

We stayed for 3 nights in one of the direct laguna view cabañas and enjoyed tremendously everything: from the hosts, Bernie and Sam who were very welcoming and helpful, to the amazing views and setting, the confort of the rooms to the very nice and healthy food available throughout the day. We liked the place so much that we ended up staying there throughout our stay, just enjoying the beauty of the place. A true slow living experience!

They offer a la carte dinners and activities at very good prices. Marta and family are truly delightful to be around and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. I really hope we get the chance to come back and visit again.

Το Caribbean Beach Cabanas είναι ένα κατάλυμα μόνο για ενήλικες που βρίσκεται στην Πλατσέτσια και προσφέρει ιδιωτική παραλία και δωρεάν ποδήλατα. we had an amazing time the rooms were fabulous and the staff were so so friendly it was like a family they all remembered our names and couldn’t do enough for us the barman security guards and maids were probably the best staff at an hotel we have ever had and we travel a lot we loved we had our own sun terrace and we were opposite the wonderful pool and bar where the cocktails were amazing you could get lunch there also as said barman was really friendly and helpful it is only a short walk along the path to the village but very quiet in the evening for a good nights sleep in a wonderful clean room the private part of the beach was good with nice beds and hammocks we couldn’t use the sea because of the big problem of sea grass but it like that every where we would definitely stay here again
