We truly enjoyed our stay at the Captains Cabin! The chalet was not only beautiful but also spotless and fully equipped, everything we needed was there. The veranda had such a cozy and romantic vibe; we spent the evening sitting there. And the picnic table was perfect for a sunny breakfast. The camping site is lush and peacefull. The owner was very kind and responded guickly to any questions. All the provided information was clear, and check-in went smoothly. As for the area/surroundings: Petten really surprised us in a good way. The beach is within walking distance- wide and quiet. We also enjoyed cycling through the dunes and hiking in the nearby Zwanenwater Nature Reserve. In short: a lovely place, a cozy and comfortable chalet and beautiful surroundings. We'd love to come back.

The staff was extraorninarily friendly. They gave us un upgrade when they saw my friend´s injured foot, to have her stay more comfortably. The food was very good. I love the design of the lodge. It showed a lot of their attitude, when theyx helped several people who got caught in a bad storm outside while we were having breakfast. These people are so kind. I also liked the vicinity to the train station that took us directly to Amsterdam Central.
