We had only booked one night, but fate allowed us to stay another… And if we didn’t have a flight to catch, we would have stayed even longer! A huge thank you to Tina for her kindness, responsiveness, and all the passion she shared with us. This place feels like it’s out of time, where nature and animals reign, and where you instantly feel at peace. The animals here are also very happy, and you can truly feel it—what a joy to freely cuddle the dogs (especially Luna❤️) and see the llamas coming to greet us at our hut’s window! We were also lucky enough to go on a dog sledding excursion, an unforgettable experience that will stay with us forever. Thank you again for these wonderful memories, and one thing is for sure—we will be back!

Located in Alta in the Finnmark region, Flatmoen Natur Lodge provides accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. The property is non-smoking and is situated 7.2 km from The Rock art of Alta. They have 4 lovely cabins next to each other with beautiful nature views. The very comfy bed is surrounded by glas windows and a glas roof and we were able to see the northern lights at night from the bed as we were staying here in December. The cabin itself had a kitchen with everything you need to cook, but the local pizza place will also deliver food, if you can't be bothered. We did book also a 3 hour horse carridge ride with dinner included which the lodge offers on their website. You can even book it online. We can highly recommend a stay here and also the sledge ride. Oh, and the jacuzzi on the terrace is super romantic!

With mountain views, Aurora Fjord Cabins is set in Lyngseidet and has free WiFi.

With sea views, Norwegian Wild is situated in Vangsvik and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden, terrace and children's playground. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. We stayed at both the lighthouse and the aurora sea view cabin. They were both super clean and cozy. Very good showers with high water pressure. Quiet, peaceful surroundings with amazing views. Meals were delicious, especially the fish soup. The host, Hege, was so nice, always attentive and very helpful. When she knew our next destination is Sommarøy, she initiated to check for us whether the car ferry route to Sommarøy would actually open on that day(because it was just after Christmas holidays). Was a really wonderful experience staying at Norwegian Wild, definitely recommend it !

The tiled floors, fireplace and peaceful vibe add to the ambience of the room. This chalet is allergy-free and non-smoking. The sauna was awesome. The view is great. The bbq area was really cool.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. Great location with beautiful surroundings. Must recommend the Arctic Romance Package. Stunning breakfast with finely selected offering. I travel a lot and have started rating the places I stay by the quality of the breakfast bacon. I have to admit that this place is the new "king of the hill" on Matti's bacon index. Absolute 6/5 👌
