The train is a wonderful place to stay in. Surprisingly big, with seating area, small kitchen, a bath tube (!) and - of course - a comfortable bed.
Kym is a wonderful and helpful host. We needed an additional night and she offered us the Karusel, a new place which is not a 100% finished. Of course, she informed us about this fact. Nothing to complain about.

The uniqueness of the property. A little out of town gave that peaceful rural tranquility. Our cabin was beautifully appointed and super comfortable, everything we needed was at hand and catered for. The view was sublime. To sit and watch the changing weather from the comfort of this property was the best

A luxury stay experience at the edge of the breathtakingly beautiful New Zealand Fiordland. The Lodge sits in a stunning rural setting, with sweeping views across beautiful Lake Manapouri to the snow-capped peaks beyond. Our hosts Breidi and Brad made us feel very welcome and at home. Gourmet dinner and breakfast included in the stay were outstanding, and upon request our hosts arranged a delicious picnic for us to take on our day cruise to Doubtful Sound. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and many thoughtful details enhanced our stay. Highlights for us included an afternoon relaxing in the Library in front of a crackling fire, and chatting to other Lodge guests in the lounge over pre-dinner drinks and canapes.

The location on the river with the mountain backdrops from the cabin was amazing. Close to the cruise for day two with a short walk.
Room was superb with great bed and pillows. Overall a pleasant two days to switch off and enjoy the location and the food was superb in the restaurant and decent serving of fresh produce. The venison, lamb mains ideal, and sorbet and crème brûlée desserts ideal.
