De Bay Harbor Lodge ligt op 20 minuten rijden van het nationaal park Everglades en 8 km van het Staatspark Pennekamp Coral Reef. De kamers van dit hotel zijn allemaal voorzien van kabel-tv. A very nice hotel offering good facilities and access to a private beach. The whole place promotes a relaxing and unrushed stay... Tamed squirrels are hopping around alongside with iguanas of various colours and sizes... super tropical and feels close to nature. The staff, particularly Jonathan, were very helpful and friendly. There's plenty of local knowledge and recommendations; I rented a push bike and had a tyre puncture (rental car) fixed on Jonathan's recommendation. Aside from all the practicalities, Bay Harbour Lodge is a little beach paradise, which is priceless.

Old Wooden Bridge Resort & Marina ligt in Big Pine Key, op 40 km van Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters en 30 km van Seven Mile Bridge. De accommodatie biedt uitzicht op de zee en gratis WiFi. I liked that cabin 8 was pet friendly. Also there weren’t many steps, the kitchen had all the utensils, pots and pans, dishes and coffee pot. It was very clean. I liked our picnic table and grill. Very relaxing trip.

Located in Key West, Florida, this lodge features an outdoor pool and a tennis court. It is 10 minutes’ drive from Key West International Airport. Very large rooms. Clean. A bit farther from the street, so no noise. Beautiful sea view from the window, though it might have looked more like a lake. The pool, although not heated according to staff, had fairly warm water, and it was nice to spend time there. 20-minute drive to Key West, which offers plenty of attractions. Free coffee service available. A restaurant with tasty food just 2-3 minutes on foot but only for dinner.
