The harbour is in a very beautiful position . very yachty...
The harbour is in a very beautiful position . very yachty and probably more of interest to people who love to see boats or who are joining a boat or on a boat. There is a nice beach Jolly Beach close by. THere is a well stocked supermarket but be warned Antigua prices are more expensive than either British or American prices as the island has to import almost everything. There is a new reosrt being built by Jolly Harbour and I believe the mall is going to be rebuilt too. Lots of nice restaurants in the locality. Just great.
Just great. We are from trinidad and tobago. just make sure you dont get into the tourist traps. Shirley Heights on thursday and trip to Barbuda a must. Circumnavigate antigua is a must. tropical adventures did a fantatic job. In Barbuda Frigate bird sanctuary similar to trinidad's Scarlet ibis sanctuary so we were amazed. Beds were comfy, there were beach towels and beach bag available. The villa was extremely clean and contained everything that we needed. Silvia the owner was fantastic and couldn't do enough to help us. Also perfectly locating for experiencing at least 5 beaches very locally and within minutes. Lots of birds in the garden which is lovely in the morning. Very sunny swimming pool. There are many restaurants and bars to choose from. Also a supermarket, all within the Commercial Centre. The entire unit was clean and modern with all the amenities listed. They supplied plenty of bedding, towels, beach towels. The apartment was spacious and we loved having a washing machine. We used this apartment as a base to explore the island but we did eat at a couple of the restaurants in the jolly harbour complex.
