This hotel is an absolute gem. We arrived tired and hot after walking here from Divjakë, and we got the best room with plenty of space, a fridge, terrace with table and chairs and an excellent bathroom with a powerful shower. There is mosquito mesh on the windows and doors in the rooms, so you can have them open without getting eaten. The food in the restaurant is unbelievably good and very fairly priced. The fish dishes we had were fresh and delicious, the pasta was better than most I've eaten in Italy. Definitely try the grilled prawns and sea bass, they were exceptional. We also had delicious breakfasts here, cooked to order with freshly made bread and local honey and preserves. Couldn't fault it. Our host, Andy, was superbly helpful and kind, chatting to us about Albania, giving us recommendations of where to walk and what to see, playing the best music in the restaurant (!), and he even gave us a lift back to Divjakë on departure as we hadn't been able to find a taxi service.

The hosts were so very welcoming and did everything they could to make us feel at home, including opening up the bar area, which was undergoing some renovation, for us to sit and have a drink. Their kitten was entertaining us for hours :)

Geri is such a nice, honest and helpfull guy. He almost felt like a friend, you feel immediately at home. His parents unfortunately dont speak english, but they welcome you at the accomodation and are just as friendly. Geri also invited us for a trip through nature, but unfortunately we did not have the time to do that.

I'm not sure I've ever stayed in a local host that was quite so accurately described, perfectly central location or that had such a proactive and helpful host! The apartment is spacious and beautiful, very clean, has everything you need, lovely relaxing balcony and an extremely comfortable bed.

Very welcoming and responsive host when you need him. Absolutely great apartment. Very clean, spacious, and comfortable beds. Fully furnished kitchen with espresso included, air conditioner, washing machine. It is very close to local markets, bakery and local restaurants. Allowed us free early check-in and there is free parking next to the building.

Loved exploring the nature at Divjake-Karavasta National...

Loved exploring the nature at Divjake-Karavasta National Park and the lagoon. We also used a rented bike to follow the trails in the forest. There are also several hiking trails you could do. Definitely worth the visit!

It's a small city, it's not for parties or sightseeing. But.

It's a small city, it's not for parties or sightseeing. But. The is a national park and a natural sea cost, where I could spend 3-4 days to explore everything. If you love nature or birdwatching, it's your city. Oh, and there was 200 flamingos in the lagoon, and like 40 kentish plovers on the shore. Lucky!!!

There are plenty of activities to do in and around Divjake.

There are plenty of activities to do in and around Divjake. You can find plenty of information at the visitor center. Be sure to visit the tower at sunrise or sunset. A real shame, and just as unfortunate, typical of southern countries in both Eastern and Western Europe, is the sheer volume of litter. But that's more of a general issue than a local problem.

I recommend visiting the Pelikan restaurant, a few hundred meters from the sea. Excellent food, friendly service and reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the hygiene habits of Albanians in this area on the beach are the same as in the rest of Albania.

Nice observation tower, visitor center, and beautiful nature park. Saw some large birds. Walking path on a raised path through the greenery. Beautiful sandy/lagoon area with lovely beaches and a nice hotel and restaurant.

The beach, access to the beach and the surroundings were...

The beach, access to the beach and the surroundings were great. The internet worked well in the common areas, it was a problem in the room. We chose the destination not only because of swimming in the sea, but also because of the location in the national park. I would appreciate information about possible activities outside the hotel and the beach.
