I came to Bad Gastein alone, to snowboard for a week, so my key needs were- Location(Close to ski lift, close to public transport), price(No one to split the bill with) and my needs were met completely. This place is Right next to both train station and buss stations, RIGHT NEXT to them, but very quiet and the Stubnerkogel ski lift is right across the street. My room was cleaned every day, i was met at breakfast with a smile every morning, it was super warm, the bed was large and comfortable, modern TV with netflix, parking space right at the door(If you go by car), the room was spacious for one person and quite enough for 2. The hostess was very kind and ready to help with anything. Flexible check-in/check-out.(For late arrivals, early breakfast). Highly recommend for 1-2 people going on a ski trip.

This was a very good experience for us (2 nights stay, for the first time in Bad Gastein). The hotel has been newly renovated and we really liked the design: relatively minimalist and totally functional, while still elegant. It reminded me of the Skandinavian style, with Alpine flavours. Breakfast was good, the staff was friendly - we really enjoyed our stay, and even managed to watch from our balcony (facing a mountain and the football field) an entertaining football match of local teams. We would definitely come back. Thank you.

Bad Gastein is amazing alpine village. The views of Tauer mountain ridge are amazing. There are many options how you can spend your free time - spa, skiing or hiking. I also really love local craftsmen shop and products. I would recommend also stop in Salzburg during journey to Bad Gastein if its on your way.

We enjoyed our stay at springhouse.

We enjoyed our stay at springhouse. It has a very good location for skiing and the Felsenbaden is also close. For four people it’s not huge good size and overall it’s very cozy with nice ski decorations. The house-owner is super nice and willing. We recommend this place.

I loved Bad Gastein’s mix of Belle Époque elegance and wild mountain scenery. Mornings meant hiking and cable-car views; afternoons were for soaking in the thermal waters; evenings, cozy bars and great food. The waterfall running through town gives the whole place a dramatic energy. It felt like stepping back in time without losing modern comfort—truly a memorable stay.

Bad Gastein is an amazing mix of natural beauty and old-world charm, surrounded by stunning mountains and lush forests. In winter its a fantastic skiing area, and since its over 1000 meters elevated they usually have a long skiing season. In summer its great for hiking! There’s so much to do, from relaxing in the famous thermal spas to exploring endless hiking trails with breathtaking views.

Bad Gastein is a totally magical place, if you like rowdy...

Bad Gastein is a totally magical place, if you like rowdy slope side apres and a buzzy town centre, go to St Anton. Bad Gastien's signature are it's spa and the weirdly magical atmosphere the huge number of belle epoch hotels, some refurbed an open, some semi-abandoned, some totally derelict. Super convenient with the train to Munich/Salzburg, come see it before the town becomes cool again.

This is our second visit in two years, so we love this beautiful scenic town with hiking trails you can walk to from the centre. The air is so fresh, which was why we came here to escape the oppressive hot summer air of Vienna. If you can rent an apartment with a kitchen, there is also a great (huge!) InterSpar supermarket near the train station - just factor in walking up and down the steep hills!

We absolutely loved our stay at Nefer House! The hosts are lovely, very welcoming and friendly. They made us feel at home :) the house has been recently refurbished and there’s plenty of additional facilities like kitchen, wine bar, jacuzzi, ski room. The house is located very close to the ski bus and restaurants. Bad Gastein itself is a beautiful little town, very picturesque and we really enjoyed walking around it in the evening. I would highly recommend the ski area, Nefer House and Bad Gastein. We know we will be back next season :)

The most unbelievable hotel I've stayed at!! We were blown away with the beautiful design, views, and amenities at The Comodo. We especially loved the restaurant and the extra such as yoga classes, movie nights, and sauna/pool. You can take a €15-20 10-minute taxi from the Bad Gastein train station or walk along a beautiful walking path for about 30 minutes. So many things to do around the hotel in every season!

Modern, properly equipped room. Bike storage was easy to manage. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful. It is at the top of the city, so it is very convenient for those on the Alpe-Adria bike tour, as most of the difficulty is completed by getting to the hotel, the next day will be very easy. The great spa is at a short walk.

Great modern art vibe, nicely restored with lots of original details to truly make this a unique hotel. Our Balcony provided excellent views, the room was well appointed, and very comfortable with nice bedding! Big breakfast with lots of options. Very friendly staff that helped us find the best Austrian restaurant on our trip !
