Everything, perfect spot for hiking excursions. Beds were very comfortable, real wood interior, no cheap lookalikes. The terrace, the view, even a working sauna. The included Schladming card added so much value for everybody. One of my favourite vacations so far.

Excellent, new hotel, within walking distance of the Planai west cable car and the center of Schladming. The wellness area has 3 saunas and a relaxation room. The breakfast is full of various organic products, there is a juicer with a large selection of vegetables and fruits. After check-out, you can store your belongings in the ski room and spend the whole day on the slopes.

The location was absolutely perfect, we could easily hike around the area. Overall, I believe that it was the best place for us to stay at, even better than being down in the town centre. We could easily reach the hotel by a public bus (960). The staff is super friendly and helpful, we were very happy with everything. If we would return to Dachstein, we would happily stay there again. :)

Small town, village... excellent access to ski lifts and...

Small town, village... excellent access to ski lifts and resorts. We tried skiing directly in Forstau from here, as well as in Radstadt, Obertauern and of course Schladming. Forstau itself is very quiet. Great for families with children, for couples better somewhere else.

Small village, but perfectly adequate for our needs. Very good restaurant – Forstauer Wirt – and a village shop for small necessities. The ski area was perfect for our small group.

Forstau is a charming ski village with wonderful and...

Forstau is a charming ski village with wonderful and inviting slopes. The mountainside restaurants are welcoming and serve excellent, delicious food. It's an ideal spot for a ski holiday with (young) children, but also perfect for older guests looking for less challenging slopes. All accommodations are located practically right next to the slopes, making it ideal.

The accommodation is ideal for 3 couples or 2 families each...

The accommodation is ideal for 3 couples or 2 families each with 1 child. The kitchen equipment and the connected living room are ideal for a shared evening meal, e.g. during board games. The possibility of using the sauna after a day of skiing and being in privacy is excellent.

Pleasant family guesthouse in a quiet location with a view of the town of Forstau. Easy parking in front of the apartment, possibility to use the sauna and ski storage. In the morning, fresh pastries and products from the own sheep farm.

We were skiing, so we were very satisfied, the proximity of...

We were skiing, so we were very satisfied, the proximity of a large resort - Schladming with a lot of slopes for everyone to choose from. We did not visit the restaurant in the place, we cannot rate it, on the slopes Austrian classics. We had our own transport, the roads were fine, well maintained, passable without any problems.

Very quiet village, close to the ski lifts. The owners are very friendly and helpful. One important note - Forstau is slightly higher than Radstadt and a bit out of the way - if there is heavy snowfall, snow chains are needed to get there by car.
