The hotel is well positioned in the center, the rooms are clean and spacious, very well soundproofed, the bed is comfortable and the breakfast varied with vegetables and fruits as well as many delicious local products, much more than 4-star hotels. We arrived late and had a little difficulty finding the parking lot, because the reception was closed, but one of the guys from the bar came with us and was very helpful. Also Daniel, from the reception was very kind and we will definitely come back!

The stay was amazing and can only recommend to everyone who like the combination of wellness and hiking. Amazing breakfast, food at the Tiroler Abend on Friday evening was outstanding. Staff and hospitality was unbelievable supportive and friendly and the wellness area super relaxed. The bed was really very comfortable and the room sizes quite big for the price. We really enjoyed our stay to the fullest.

We are a family of 5 (3 kids under 12). This was our first time and we will make some adjustments (for our families' needs) but Oberndorf was a great start and we would recommend. Great central location. It is located in the valley so you have to go 'up' to many sights but many are available starting from the valley. The Greisbuchklamm walk was great. The dinasour park was great and the hike to the hilltop view was exceptional. Kaiserwelt was a little underwhelming but still kept everyone busy for most of the day. Schnekler (sp?) hike started a bit slow but got really nice at the end. You can stay higher on the mountain and you will pay for it. But for a family, we were satisfied not having to search for (or drive a long way to) grocery stores and bakeries.

Oberndorf is a cozy little town with a few good restaurants...

Oberndorf is a cozy little town with a few good restaurants and a large grocery store. It is a short distance to St. Johann and Ellmau and several lifts up into the mountains, from where you can hike, cycle, paraglide or go kart down. -Or just take the lift again. It is also not far to great experiences such as Grossglochner, Hohe Tauern, Sylveinstein, Königsee etc.

Oberndorf is a quiet village with several restaurants where...

Oberndorf is a quiet village with several restaurants where you can enjoy delicious food. It's located between the more upscale Kitzbühel and St. Johann. Numerous ski slopes surround it. Beautiful views of the Wilder Kaiser. Train station, free travel with the guest card. Very well organized. A nice location but not much entertainment. But those places are close by.

Oberndorf itself doesn't really have a historic town center...

Oberndorf itself doesn't really have a historic town center and offers nothing as a holiday destination, but it's okay as a base for exploring other places. It's about 30 km to Kufstein, 5 km to Kitzbühel, 10 km to Ellmau, etc. That's fine.

A beautiful hotel under the forest run by a friendly family. Great room with balcony and view of mountains and valley. Excellent breakfasts and warm welcome to guests. Beautiful surroundings, large pool with warm water, parking and various opportunities for tourists. All close to Kutzbuhel well-known ski resort! Staff smiling and helpful, speaking good English. Great place and we would love to return here !!!

We, a family of 5, enjoyed staying at the related apartment to the main hotel (this was not totally clear from the ad but was not a problem at all!). The hotel is fantastic and kept our kids busy for hours each day. The location was great and we ran out of time to do all that we wanted (it was our first time to Austria). Will stay again!
