Michaela and her team are fantastic hostal. The hotel is a charming boutique hotel 2 minutes away from Ramsau station. Our breakfast was fantastic, freshly made scrambled eggs with delicious fruit, muisli, and yogourt. Michael Takeshi care of little details that made us feel at home. We will come back!

no good restaurants, in the town on the other side of river was outdoor pool, playgrounds for kids and sport center. good staring point if you want to ride bike in alps. good bus and train connection. Ramsau is between right in the middle between Zillertal Arena and Mayrhofen. so good place to stay and sleep but you need to travel by car or bike to turistic places

A good option if you don't necessarily need to go to...

A good option if you don't necessarily need to go to Mayrhofen. The train connection is very easy for €1.50 (Bichl stop). I also enjoyed walking to Mayrhofen – there are lovely hiking trails – or cycling. It's about 3 km.

We were in Zillertal for the second time.

We were in Zillertal for the second time. Great opportunities for mountain hiking throughout the valley. Possibility of relaxation in the pools and wellness. Unsatisfactory discount card. We bought it last year and assessed that its advantage was questionable. It does not stand up to comparison with the Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card. There is a considerable reserve here.

A lovely village just a few minutes' drive from Mayerhofen.

A lovely village just a few minutes' drive from Mayerhofen. Everything you need, such as a bakery and supermarket, is in the village itself, and you can even find a SPAR in nearby Zell am Ziller. The ski lifts are only a three-minute drive from Ramsau, and the roads are all in good condition.

Bichl (part of Ramsau) is a small, quiet village.

Bichl (part of Ramsau) is a small, quiet village. Many hikes can be started from there. Mayrhofen is 4 km away, from where you can take several cable cars. You can benefit from the Zillertal Activcard (public transport, including cable cars (1 up and 1 down per day)). It was a summer holiday.

We had a car, so we drove everywhere, we had an apartment...

We had a car, so we drove everywhere, we had an apartment with our own kitchen, we didn't go out to eat. There are lots of options for trips. We visited Klein Tibet - I recommend it, beautiful landscape and views. Then Filzenkogel, which we hiked from the bottom by ourselves, and the Stillup - Stausee dam was also very nice. The next hike was to Olpererhütte. It's a beautiful area with lots of options.

We stayed 2 families at Hotel Theresia. Very nice hotel, clean, nice wellness area, good food (5 courses every night). Located 3km outside Mayerhofen (so not in Mayerhofen but in separate are outside). Nothing really around the hotel but other houses/hotels. 10 min by car in to Mayerhofen. For skiiing it's 3 min by car to Horbergban (Mayrerhofen) or 10 min to Karspitzbahn (Zell) or 30 min to Hintertux. We stayed 5 nights and skied in all 3 ski areas. We can strongly recommend the hotel.

We loved everything about this our stay at Hotel Theresia. The spa and pool were new, clean and v relaxing. Doris and her staff were great, really helpful and always smiling. The food was excellent, we loved every meal. Great choice at breakfast. There are two bus stops right outside to take you to several vast ski areas. The train station also less than 10mins walk to connect you direct to Mayrhofen. We will definitely be back.
