Das Mondsee is located within a short walking distance from the downtown shops and restaurants of Mondsee. There’s a very beautiful patio outside where you can relax. A river runs by which provides for a soothing sound. Rooms were impeccable maintained. Very clean. High quality furnishings. Beautiful bathroom. Comfortable bedding. Good WiFi reception. Easy check in albeit not in person. Online checkin prior to arrival is required. There is no lobby but customer service replies reasonably quick through WhatsApp. There is a community room where you can work or prepare something small. Well outfitted with dishes, glasses and cutlery. If you arrive late, there is a vending machine that stocks the basics as well. If I would return to Mondsee I would stay here again. Recommended.

This is not just a nice and small boutique hotel, it is actually a total (and brilliant) concept! Very well thought trough and implemented! Amazing location right at the lake, great design immediately making you feel at home and relaxed; and wonderful staff trying to do everything to make you feel at home. Good and honest food and drinks (breakfast and some dishes for lunch; drinks and snacks at the Honesty Bar). I was also very happy with the charger for my car (Austria is still lagging behind in this respect).

We were welcomed very pleasantly. We were very happy to be able to check-in after check-in hours. We were even happier after hearing we are getting a free upgrade to a better room. The room was very clean and had stunning views of the lake. The bed was very comfortable. At the breakfast table we had a great view of the lake and the breakfast-buffet offered a large selection. The available underground car park was very convenient. The highlight was the wellness area, which was accessible through a underground tunnel. The outdoor pools are comfortably warm (34 degrees) and the finish saunas are great. We really enjoyed sunbathing in the textile and textile free area, we felt very comfortable due to great sight protection. The privat access to the lake was also very cool and calming.

The property is stylish, luxurious, expansive, well maintained and includes excellent parking. The reception and restaurant staff were very courteous and efficient. The room itself was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast buffet included an outstanding selection of savoury and sweet offerings. Coffee was great. The local environment is very quiet and feels safe, and the town of St Gilgen is quaint and beautiful. Our room had magnificent views of Wolfgangsee. Make sure that you travel up to Mount Zwölferhorn on the cable car for some spectacular views of the surrounding regions. Overall, this is a superb property that is also great value for money.

I liked everything! The location is amazing, secluded and calm but also has everything you need like food at the restaurant or 5 minutes away by car at any supermarket. I would definitely come again. Friends' groups, however, shall watch out for the showering situation 😂 it is more like a romantic getaway 😉 but I still had lots of fun with my friend there. Ah the Seilbahn is 5 minutes away aaand Hallstaat is about an hour, although I don't recommend leaving the heaven of this place and going to the touristic horror of Hallstaat.
