Loved location as very convenient to visiting beautiful Clare Valley . Spoilt for choice in regard to lovely winery restaurants and nearby cafes . Our visit was only overnight but have a longer trip booked for next year to ride the Riesling Trail from Clare to Auburn .

Auburn is a quiet village at the southern end of the Clare valley which makes it a great base for winery adventures and walking around - it is on the Riesling trail. There is a pub and a restaurant as well as a supermarket. The Rising Sun hotel does good dinners (just don’t expect your rare steak to come rare).

Auburn is known as the Gateway to the Clare Valley Wine Region. Very handy base to visit multiple wineries & small, historic hamlets in the Valley. The Terrior Auburn Restaurant is a must-try experience!

We had an overnight stay in Auburn for a quick business trip, so we weren't there to look around at all. However, it is obviously a beautiful area! We had dinner at Sevenhill Hotel - fantastic venue. Our accommodation at Lyreen's was excellent and we will be remembering this B&B for future visits.

The accommodation is in refurbished buildings adjacent to the historic hotel. The room was welcoming, and provided a large bed and a cabinet with breakfast makings, as well as two bedside tables. For breakfast, there was a selection of teas, and instant coffee, plus apple juice and orange juice, and four different types of cereal, plus bread for toast. The bathroom was spacious, and the shower had good pressure and hot water. We had dinner in the hotel, and enjoyed our meals.
