A nice little country town, which makes a great stopover when travelling between Hobart and the west coast. It is quite picturesque, especially after it snowed. One downside to snow though is possible road closures if you don't have a 4WD. There's also not a lot of options for food. Best to go shopping for groceries at the local shop or head to another town if you want to eat out (we went to Miena).

Peace and tranquility was a big winner for us.
Peace and tranquility was a big winner for us.
There was not a lot for us to do there other than a drive into the small community and a drive outside of town to look at town water supply.
We brought our own food and supplies with us , expecting there would be limited choices within the town .There was very little available at general store when we looked so very pleased we made that choice !

It was a very quiet place, close to lakes so good for people who fish or for those who wish to get away from noise. Make sure you take most of your supplies to eat and drink as the one local shop doesn't offer a lot of choices. The cabins are a good size with a seperate bedroom away from the lounge area. The wood heater was a lovely addition to the electric heating. The spa was a nice idea and very relaxing. Not great reception for phones or WiFi, but awesome if you want to get away from it all.

After landing in Hobart in the afternoon and driving direct to Brontë Park, we arrived feeling exhausted with two cranky kids. Arriving at the cabin with the lights on and the fire going, felt like such a warm welcome. The cabin was very clean and had lots of thoughtful extras that made for a very relaxed and comfortable stay. We were sad that we could only stay for one night!

This was a great stay in an area with very few options. Gloria in reception was very friendly and we were pleasantly surprised by the size of our cabin, which was very comfortable and fitted out with plenty of kitchen appliances and tools. We drove to the Derwent Bridge Hotel for dinner - watch out for wildlife if you're driving at night!

Although a little off the beaten track, Bronte Park is worth the trip. Beautiful location and studio with everything needed plus more. Ultra quiet and peaceful outlook. Bonus of clean BBQ at each cabin - although we cooked inside - and free washing machine and powder at the shared laundry. Overall, very very nice.

Gloria, the Manager, was extremely welcoming and helpful and provided excellent tourist-spot recommendations.
The property is located in quiet, serene bushland of Bronte Park village. The cabin was well decorated with great facilities. The complimentary pirt was most appreciated.
