I loved Jephson! I stayed here for 5 days and would happily have stayed more. The staff were absolutely lovely, so friendly and helpful. Toowong is actually a great option, about 15-20 minutes on the bus or train to the centre or about half an hour on the ferry. Toowong village shopping centre is 5 minutes walk and has loads of infrastructure, there's a street full of good Asian restaurants and coffee shops between the station/bus stop and the hotel and KatsuCo next to the hotel is excellent. It's worth taking the public transport to take advantage of the significantly better price.

Breakfast was delivered to our room and they were big enough to feed 4 people. I ordered too much but loved our breakfast - actually loved every moment we stayed at Darra Motel. Absolutely loved the hospitality that was given by Paul and Tony...we were both well looked after by Paul, Tom and the team 100% satisfied with everything. We stayed here for our last night in Australia. It was easy to access the airport and also close enough for a last trip on the City Cat and a walk around the south bank. Very comfortable and pleasant stay. The staff member who dealt with us was extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a car, parking was available onsite. We also walked the short distance to the river and used the City Cat, so very easy to access the Motel with or without a car.

It's such a wonderful surprise that we were able to book this cozy, comfortable, and clean suite. The location is also excellent – it's very quick to get to both nearby shopping malls and the city center. The hosts, Kate and Zeke, are very kind, and we were fortunate to taste their delicious honey. What's more, their dog Kumi is absolutely adorable – we miss her so much! If we have the chance to visit Brisbane again, we will definitely book here once more.
