Stayed at Colac central motel on main street was great close...
Stayed at Colac central motel on main street was great close to shops. Went to La Porchetta for tea was amazing as had chicken Parm agama was cooked so well. Only had time to shop and see the lake as was on short stay overnight but will be going back to see more. Colac was a very beautiful country town beside the lake that is well worth visiting.

People were awesome and friendly.
People were awesome and friendly.
Only problem was the thousands of semi-trailers travelling right through town every day...Noisy..and the animal trucks with animals on smelled...for a minute each time..they should provide a by-pass for their convenience and ours
Otherwise great
Excellent shopping, and browsing, entertainment. Ten pin Bowling.

We love Colac for family, the lake, gardens, close to beaches , wide roads, different from country to city highlights example wineries, Red rock home of Bulla icecream,

We visited the Colac Botanic Gardens which overlooked Lake...
We visited the Colac Botanic Gardens which overlooked Lake Colac. It was very popular with walkers, cyclists and tourists and is very picturesque. It is possible to drive through the gates and around the grounds in a circular drive.

The property is very close to the city centre. If you didn’t have a lot of luggage, you could easily walk here from the train station. It’s also walking distance from some great restaurants, lake Colac and a nice nursery. Getting here is easy as it’s on the main road from Melbourne to Warrnambool. The rooms are reasonably clean and the kitchen is well stocked. There is ample indoor parking

I had a wonderful stay in a spacious cabin in Colac. The cabin was well-appointed. Its peaceful setting made it a perfect retreat. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, it’s an excellent choice for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Colac.

Beautiful old cottage with modern facilities. Double garage at rear which was ideal for our golf cart and trailer. Bedrooms were large and beds very comfortable. Quiet area of Colac but not far to eateries.

Value for money. The room ticked all our boxes, reception and cleanliness was great. Good option if you want to explore Colac Lake, Otway region without spending too much.
