Very clean, large areas and a well stocked kitchen. The owners spoilt us with goodies: basket of fruit, bottle of wine, bread with spreads and a 2Ltr bottle of milk. They also had a pod machine & a milk frother, so you can have a cafe style coffee. The backyard is lovely and large, and a large front porch with privacy that you can sit out on. We really loved our stay there at an affordable price.

We feel very lucky to have stayed here. A clear labour of love with such history. We were warm, comfortable and interested in our surroundings. Such a highlight of our trip.

The room was spacious and clean. It was perfect. The bathroom was massive and the stay was super super comfortable. Also they gave us two drink vouchers at the bar which I felt was very very nice. The receptionist and all the staff were extremely courteous and even helped us with the bags which made us feel very warm

I just appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the warmth of the hotel in both the lounge area and my room. After spending 2 weeks sleeping in my van and breaking down in Mt Gambier it was great to have a warm comfy bed and shower without it costing me an arm and a leg. Thank so much to everyone at the Commercial hotel for helping me have a great stay while here in Mt Gambier, and I will recommend it to all my friends!

It is both elegant and modern. It is more like a 5 instead of a 3-Star hotel. Provides very good toiletries ( Aesop hand wash and hand lotion)

An absolutely immaculate property and the most beautiful private accomodation I have ever stayed in. We were welcomed by our host on arrival who gave us a tour of the property (my wife saying she wanted to stay in the first bedroom, before changing her mind on seeing the second and again on seeing the third). Our host gave us a few instructions and recommended somewhere for our evening meal. Some fantastic sites just short car journeys away.
