Didn't have any spare time to look around, however, would recommend visiting the Visitor Information Centre. The people there were very helpful and had a sound knowledge of the local area and its attractions.

The Island Sanctuary was a fabulous pocket of nature with old growth trees and plenty of interesting birds. A real natural environment within the boundary of the town. The history of the long paddock for cattle migration in the 1800's is fascinating.

Take time to walk around town, I was lucky to be there on a market weekend and I came across he market in Waring Gardens. There are a number of cafes and bakeries - I had breakfast at the Deniliquin Bakery and I can recommend their pastries. There is a mural on the water tower at the corner of Russell Street and Whitelock Street. Deniliquin is a very friendly town.

A really pleasant town.
A really pleasant town. Absolutely fabulous parks along the lagoon - the main town park is exceptional. A compact shopping area with some interesting heritage buildings, especially the imposing courthouse and superb 1876 Presbyterian church. The Depot motoring museum and adjacent 50s style diner were excellent. Riverside walks and the river beach are added attractions. Highly recommended for a two or three day stay.

The family villa was very well equipped and beautifully presented, so much for kids to do, bmx track jumping pillow basketball court tennis court 2 pools one heated to 30 degrees, heated splash park and water slide, free mini golf, for hire pedal cars and pontoon, beautiful clean grounds, public showers toilets and laundry ( pay as you go)
The caravan sites were huge, camp kitchen, and they are building a flying fox and more villas and glamping tents- what is not to like here

The rooms, though tired, were clean, tidy, and functional with a good amount of space. The pool was divine, and the staff could not have been more lovely and accommodating. I didn’t realise that I had booked for two not four of us, and they found us a room with an extra bed to accommodate, with a new air-conditioning unit to ensure our comfort during the hot night. WiFi was actually very good (unusual for hotel/motel WiFi), and it was perfect for our one night stop over on the drive between Sydney and Adelaide.

It's nice that you can still order breakfast in this motel, and it gets delivered to your room the night before, so that you can enjoy it at your own pace. It's something that fewer hotels and motels still offer nowadays.

Deniliquin is an interesting place. Only had one night so unable to take in all that the area had to offer. The room was excellent, everything we needed for the one night, and certainly would suit a longer stay.

Fabulous roomy cottage with much attention to detail. Amazing breakfast supplied and friendly hosts. We only stayed one night but could easily have stayed longer. It's much nicer than staying in a hotel room.
