GermanyGreat location, very remote, very comfortable cabin with everything you need (even a dish washer!). Electric blankets for cold nights. Lovely porch with BBQ grill. Received a complementary flask of port wine upon arrival which was a great suprise gift. We had a great time.

It's where the Derwent River starts.
It's where the Derwent River starts. See Lake St Claire and The Wall. Great stopover for a rest. We bought our own food to cook but the Roadhouse can cater if they know by 4.30pm. They also have wine and beer if you need. So glad we stayed over.

The room was very clean, basic but comfortable with a small outdoor table and chairs to enjoy a cuppa and watch the other travellers go by. A slightly warmer welcome would have been appreciated after a long drive but I guess Covid has made owners a little jaded..understandably I guess.

We loved our little cottage. It was very well equipped with appliances, including a washer & dryer. It was spotlessly clean, and our bed was comfy bed as were the pillows.
We had dinner down at the Derwent Bridge Hotel. Unfortunately, it's not within walking distance. But, for breakfast the next day, we went to the Hungry Wombat, which is right next door & serve a good breakfast.

Great location for our transition from Hobart to Strahan. Better still the local hotel had opened just 4 days earlier after a long period of closer. Pub food experience was a treat. Also given the choice to have breakfast at the Chalet or not and we chose the local cafe. Excellent choice and great start to the day.

Self contained cabin just off the highway. Very quiet. Close to Lake St Clair and Derwent Bridge Hotel for fireside drinks and dinner
Warm and cozy with the basics. We bought our lunch and breakfast supplies as it is remote. .

A comfortable stay. Nice individual cottages, well equipped. A pleasant walk across Derwent Bridge to the pub for dinner (or a very short drive) Perfect for a visit to The Wall in the Wilderness or Lake St Clair National Park.
