Only stopped through for a night, but the local pub, the Victoria Hotel, was a genuine country pub where the locals and travelers alike could stop in for a drink and a meal.
Recommend booking for the bistro in the pub. They fit us in at short notice, but it was pretty busy.
The bartenders also let us know there's a small brewery looking to open up soon, so that could be another good reason to visit in the future.

So much to do in town and the area.
So much to do in town and the area. Charming town, friendly locals, excellent food at Victoria Hotel, & Cat Clarke's restaurant which featured local produce & bush tucker. Lake Tyrell and the silo art in the area are well worth your time!

Great pub, some lovely historic buildings and very interesting, quirky and fun shops - great shops for Vintage collectors.
I'd recommend the Pub, visiting the Pink Lake (salt) and drive to the Stick Shed in Murtoa for a visit. Lots of history in the area.
Take snacks, drinks and food because there is not a lot outside of Dimboola if you're driving throughout the day.

The Dimboola pub is a must see.
The Dimboola pub is a must see. The dining room is full of amazing nostalgia and the meal is really nice with an extensive menu and reasonable prices. The town is neat but there is not much there to see or do. Has seen better times.

An interesting town with lots of retro and vintage influence. Even though it was described as ‘dying’ in early 2000s residents have made a huge effort to pump life back into it. Definitely worth a visit.

Dimboola is a great town, very friendly, and excellent base for exploring the local area or as a half way stop between Adelaide and Melbourne. We plan to spend several days there next time.
We particularly enjoyed exploring the antique, collectable and gift shops (usually open Thursday to Sunday), walking along the Wimmera river, and had a wonderful dinner at Cat Clarkes restaurant at the local golf course.
We would have liked to have eaten at the local Victoria Hotel (also recommended), but we did check out their dining room /restaurants...fantastic!

A large homey apartment up the stairs in a historic Dimboola landmark building. The welcome from the host was warm and the feeling was like being at home. The building and the apartment are showing their age in places, but to us, it was part of the old world charm. It is comfy rather than fancy, but it provides much more space than a hotel room and much more character than a cell-like motel room.
