The beaches, the weather, the shopping, the parks...What is not to love about the Gold Coast. We attended GC500, the event was organised well and heaps of vendors so the queues were not overly long. Currently there are 'cost of living' travel so all busses and trams just 50c, it was amazing, we bussed and trammed everywhere and it cost us less than $10 for 7 days.

Always a great place for week's relaxation but not all parts are the same. Some are quiet and family friendly, others are all about the "experience". Burleigh Heads seems to be a good starting experience. Everything you need is at your doorstep. You don't need to cook, if you don't want to, you don't need to travel far for a varied cuisine. And, if you do get "itchy feet" there is no need to rent a car (unless you want o go up into the mountains). Translink's 50 cents for 2 hrs and $1 all daty travel tickets will even get you into Brisbane. And the Light Rail is being extended from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads; How good is that!

Great place for people of all ages.

Great place for people of all ages. Lots of theme parks for families and waterparks for those hot days. Generally has great weather. Multiple dining options and lots of bars and clubs. Great street entertainment and fantastic beaches. No matter how many days you have this place would never bore you.

Apartments & most accomodation do NOT have Studios or 1 bedroom with twin beds OR off a king to split. We require twin beds & have to book 2 bedroom accomodation to get this and it's MUCH more expensive. This needs to be addressed as it's up to $1000 per week more.

With its canal and creek and river side housing quite unlike anywhere else in Australia. Extensive and quality services, which was part of our requirement this trip. The traffic can be horrendous and drivers worse than anywhere else in Queensland and that is saying something.

I booked a twin room as we were on a budget and it was cheaper than a double - it came with a KS bed in a bedroom and a single bed in the loungeroom. It was really clean, comfortable and quiet, and also way more spacious than we anticipated - even had a six seat outdoor setting on the balcony big. All that and it was the cheapest accom on the Gold Coast :-) Of note - the room rates were cheaper through Booking.com than the best price directly through the hotel.

We had a quick visit to the Gold Coast to go to a birthday party so stayed at Pacific Coast Motel. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower water was hot. There was no road noise either so had a peaceful sleep. Had a bigger than normal motel fridge which fitted wine bottles and even fitted bottles in the freezer for a quick cool down. A great super cheap place to stay.

Perfect family friendly hotel, with spacious apartments and three pools to spend hours in. Location of the hotel was also great, just a short stroll to the beach and shops. Views of the beach were stunning. Hotel staff and reception were really helpful and full of suggestions as requested.
