I didnt have much of an opportunity to see the shops - seems to be a few vintage/second hand stores that i wanted to visit. We ate at Leon's palace as the orbost hotel's chef was ill therefore the restaurant was closed. The food was great. Orbost river was such a great place to cool down and have a swim. The locals were there too and friendly Close to Buchan Caves which we visited and some waterfalls. Brothers has a brewery to enjoy and there is a terrific Foodworks in town for your basic needs- bread, milk etc.Guest review byRahelAustralia - 10.0

The property was $75 cheaper than one offering the same bedding configuration in Orbost. Although there were no nearby shops the location was quite convenient- easy approach and departure. The kitchenware was presented in a manner that was reassuring of cleanliness. Bed lighting was good. Adequate additional blankets provided. The hidden highlight was the enticing view from the back window -Bushland. If guests are allowed to wander through it, it would be an asset that should be promoted.Guest review byDiane LucasAustralia

Next time we might bring our own food to cook. Hopefully a new owner / leasee can bring it back to life.
