As seniors we had a $2.50 all day Opal card which enabled us to travel extensively both on the trains and ferries. We went out to Newcastle, the Blue Mountains, Kiama and the Hawkesbury River all for $2.50 a trip great value. The city is very busy but the transport system is excellent and easy to use,

Very clean and walkable city plenty to see Public transportation is excellent once you figure out how to pay. Took the train to the Blue Mountains, spent the day, wasn't enough time. We'll need to go again. Haystreet market in Chinatown (open Wed-Sun) is a tourist souvenir dream spot. VERY affordable prices.

Location and views were amazing. The pool was awesome. Loved the fact after a long drive there was tea and coffee, however some small cartons of long life milk would be appreciated as the general store does not sell milk. All in all the apartment made for a great base to explore Sydney from

I love to visit Sydney - so many options for food and entertainment . Enjoy the opportunity to use public transport - so easy and convenient to jump on a train and go to town for dinner and a show . Also a fan of the light rail- to Randwick for the races, or Circular Quay for the Opera House! Shopping is great and any sort of food you could possibly want is available.

Excellent location. 650meter to the sydney harbour bridge climb. Everywhere is less than a kilometre including the crown casino area, the Rocks, bangaroo park, ferry boats. Leisurely walks to everywhere within the cbd. E.g. intercontinental hotel 1.3km, shangri-la 700meter. Beautiful parks, you could easily cover walk to the botanical garden and back. Comparatively quiter than other accommodation of the same $$$. Communication is great. Good value for money. Image taken from bedrooom window attached.

Had a great weekend away here being only a corner away from Chinatown. Location was fantastic and only moments walk from main CBD on a top of that, staff were helpful, welcoming and friendly. Most hotels we’ve stayed at in SYD, the rooms have been out dated however here, was modern, clean and extremely comfortable. Would come back again and thank you for having us!

Great location - easy walking to the Harbour and the city shopping district and close to Art gallery Botanic Gardens State library. Very old world comfortable charm - has all the amenities we need - much more personable atmosphere compared other hotels where you feel like you're just a number. Large rooms, lovely marble bathrooms, very comfy beds

The York is very central. Close to trains and an easy walk to the CBD, China Town or Paddy’s Market. The rooms are clean and comfortable with everything you need. Much quieter than other hotels I have stayed in. This wasn’t my first stay at The York and it will definitely not be my last.

Everything was perfect, the room, the location (100 metres from the new metro station), the staff, the COFFEE, the quietness of the room. We'll definitely be back. Used to use CBD hotels, not anymore. Rydges is only 8 minutes from the centre of Sydney CBD by metro.
