Awesome!! will definitely want to stay with friends to explore the Clarence Valley. Found the Food Co for great coffee, took a walk around town, checked out the 2nd hand bookstore and filled up our fuel at the corner garage. Thanks Ulmarra!!

Ulmarra has a real charm to it.
Ulmarra has a real charm to it. The area around the Bank House and the streets near it are all lovely and tidy and there is a real quaintness about the place. We definitely want to stay longer next time.

We loved the look of the old town and we would have liked to have stayed longer to check out the shops and try some other places for dining.
We chose to go to the Ulmarra Hotel for dinner. It was 7.30. We were expecting...PUB, closing 10.00??, kitchen may close 8.00 ???
NOT...we were told that they were closing...
Then they said, "O.K", but you have to order NOW!! NO, we couldn't have coffee. THEY WERE CLOSING...
We were given a pizza menu. Because we couldn't decide which one we would have to share we were told again that we had to order NOW. Don't you realise that we are CLOSING.
We are both 80 y.o. and I need a walking stick. If it hadn't been raining, if we had known where else to go, we would have left. But we just apologised for being late and quickly ate our pizza and went back to our accommodation.
This review may not be what you were expecting but we loved The Bank B & B and we loved the town and that so many people loved the town so much that they chose to live there and preserve their homes and the town buildings to live in a little piece of history.
We would definitely recommend Ulmarra as a "must visit". And stay at The Bank for a for a trip back in time.

Lovely little town, everyone is very friendly.
Lovely little town, everyone is very friendly. It's very small, only one street of shops and they all close early so I recommend going in the mid-morning to get to visit everything. Lovely spot on the river.

The rooms in the Bank Cottage were beautiful as was the shared kitchen and living areas. It was a perfect place to stay overnight, with the Ulmarra Hotel across the road. The location in town and near the river was perfect.

We had a quick 1 night stay at Ulmarra. It was a last minute booking and we were lucky to secure 2 rooms for our family of 5. We weren't expecting much for a quick stay but we were blown away at how beautiful this old hotel is. My sister owns a pub in a small town and I can truly see the hard work the owners and stuff have put into Ulmarra. You all are doing an AMAZING job.
The rooms were great and the food...WOW!!!! If we ever are mad enough to drive to QLD again from Victoria, Ulmarra will definitely be one place we will stop again

I must have read the property details incorrectly and didn't realise it was a shared bathroom. This was a problem as the toilet was not separate from the bathroom. Some guests arrived late and took up the bathroom for a very long time, making it impossible for me to use the toilet before I went to bed. I had to go across the road to the hotel to use their toilet. The late arrivals were still in the bathroom when I returned.
The location was central in the small town of Ulmarra, with the Hotel and river walk very handy.
The unit was clean and very comfortable and it was a pity we couldn't have stayed longer.
Continental breakfast was a bonus.
