Minimalist architecture. Nice decorations. Simply clever :). The trees that surrounds the hotel are beautiful and coexist with the building. Very good example on how to approach the architecture of a building with minimal impact on the surrounding nature. Remote beach, you have the impression that the beach is limited to fewer people. The staff is there to help and you feel welcomed. The restaurant is a good option if you don’t want to wander. I felt like umani :)! There is also a kids play room. Me and my family went there because of the hotel.

Anton is an excellent host! He recommended a restaurant, took us and came to pick up us after the dinner. He showed us the Golden Sand Beach. Helped me to charge up my exhausted accumulator, offered medicine for my cold. His service is full! Treats you even better than a friend. I fully recommend him!

Second time here and it's still as good as the first time. Hotel is fantastic, food is awsome, beach is perfect. Rooms are always clean, comfy beds. Entire hotel is kept spotless, even the dining area that gets fully packed with people the staff are right on top of clearing the tables. Wish we could stay longer!!

Wonderful stay for the 3 of us (2 adults and a 5 year old)! The room was spacious and included an extra bed for our kid free of charge. It was cleaned every single day by some very nice ladies. The food was diverse and aligned to the different nationalities coming to visit (Romanian and Bulgarian dishes included, 5-6 types of salad per each meal, a lot of fruits and deserts included, 2 dishes prepared for kids 3 times a day). The personnel was very nice and very hands-on. What we liked the most was the facilities: 1. Ground play with trampoline included for kids. 2. Pool available with included activities spanning throughout entire day (Aqua Gym, Polo, volley ball, different other games). 3. Pool bar available from 10 am to late in the evening and included in the All inclusive packages. 4. Mini disco (for kids) 6 days a week every evening. 5. Mini club available for kids (face painting, table activities, pool games).

    The resort is, on my opinion, the best on the Bulgarian sea shore, for our generation (60+). Our trip to Golden Sands was comfortable by our personal car. Parking (paid) difficult to manage when the hotel is almost full.

    Golden sands now is very turistic and way too crowded.

    Golden sands now is very turistic and way too crowded. The walking corridor along the beach and the hotels now is full of stores and restaurants and sometimes you cannot even walk. There are several things to explore in the area besides de beach ( which to me is better towards Varna than golden sands). Varna sea garden, and harbor are a nice thing to explore while you are there. Also other historical places as the Ovech fortress or the aladhza monastery are good options. We also took our chances and went to Nesebar old town ( 2 hours from varna) totally worthed.

    Good place for laying in the sun. No historical places nearby - the closest is Cape Kaliakra. Best place to eat - Ambassador Steak House: excellent food (best chicken quattro formaggi; great chinese style chicken; great teriyaki chicken; great rose wine by the glass) and great services. Worst place to eat - McDonald's: horrible food, double the regular prices, rude staff (we could not pay because there was an apparent error with the "EFT") and the staff chief (probably) laughed with his colleagues and mumbled in their native language.

    The beach and waves were nice, also the restaurants. My little grandson enjoyed the child-directed entertainment and pools etc. That said, this beach was a bit noisy and overly commercial for my taste, next time I will look for something a bit more quiet.

    The quality of the water and sand is impeccable.

    The quality of the water and sand is impeccable. Unfortunately, the tendency to crowd with new constructions and private beaches is similar to the phenomenon on the Romanian coast. It is clear that developers want to profit in the short term and are detracting from the natural quality of the tourist area.

    My mother and I really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. A lovely hotel, clean, quiet, comfortable, very close to the beach. Around 20 mins walk to Golden Sands’ main attractions with convenient bus options. The staff is very friendly and always there to help. The food is delicious. No issues with the water, the pressure was good, you can literally massage your head, it is that good. I loved it. We recommend.

    Тhe hotel has a great location, in front of beach and 10 minutes by foot to the bars and restaurants in center of the Golden sands. Station of public transport is front of the hotel. Clean and big rooms, comfortable beds. Good wi-fi connection. Helpful staff. Various and delicious food. We have no complaints about the hotel and strongly recommend it to anyone who has decided to visit Golden sands.

    Hotel Angy is situated in quiet zone not so far to Golden Sands (around 1 km by walk). Hotel, room and garden are very comfortable and clean. Hotel staff and the owner are helpfull and always with the smile. Hotel Angy doesn't have a reastaurant, but very close are many restaurants. I liked very much Dante and Casa Ole. This is the place where I would like to come back again.

    Melia Bulgaria is a good hotel, especially if yo get the LEVEL services( and comparing with other options in Golden Sands), but still not the same as in other Melia's around the world. I think the food is not at a 5 star level in terms of product quality and the selection is quite poor. The facilities are ok, especially for kids.
