    Amazing architecture, well described and educational museums...

    Amazing architecture, well described and educational museums, very nice polite people, pretty decent food and drink. You need about 4 days overall, to get to know the city, and possibly go back to the places you liked best (if that's your thing when you travel - it is for me). However, the religious thing does get a bit tiring, as does the noise level. Best part of town by a long stretch was Santo Antonio depois do Carmo, which is beyond the Pelourinho. The Casa das histórias de Salvador was very good, albeit a bit short on live story telling.

    Salvador is full of culture and history but it doesnt feel safe and a lot of people were very unpleasant to my family and me when working (at restaurants for example). Saw one of the most beautiful sunsets at the lighthouse at barra.

    great city with a long coastline, beautiful beaches, nice restaurants, lot of music, many museums, many churches. landscape and cultural life are very diverse and fantastic. it is easy to move around with uber and safe.

    A 'must see' city chock full of history reflected in the...

    A 'must see' city chock full of history reflected in the architecture and the well-preserved churches. The tourism infrastructure is well developed. Be sure to check out the San Antonio de Carmo neighborhood- it is a hidden gem near Pelourinho with lovely Pousadas, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and art spaces in restored historic buildings.

    Very lively city, historical and with lots to see do. There’s both historical and modern parts of the city, but the best thing about Salvador is its people. People are friendly, vibrantly artistic and make one feel very welcome. Salvador has a special place in my heart. I will return!

    The place is nice, specially the old town Pelourinho.

    The place is nice, specially the old town Pelourinho. The visit to George Amado's house on Rio Vermehlo is a gorgeous experience if you did read his books before going to Salvador Bahía. It has many historical places to visit. For me was a dream come true, because the place and the food is different to other places in Brasil. You don't have to.miss visiting Salvador.

    Awesome concierge with Valerie & Bruno!! They turned the stay a unique experience and provided the warmest welcome, plenty of local tips. Complimentary services like airport transfer and restaurant reservation worked like a charm. The small boutique hotel is located at the beginning of the beautiful historic center of Salvador. Perfect for an easy, secure stroll into the city! Moreover, the rooftop pool offers a great view including sunset panorama. Fantastic stay!

    The hotel is kept in the top condition and is extremely well organized. We chose it as a base to explore Bahia, and they were kind to let us keep the luggage for a few days. When we came back, our bags were waiting us in the room. The location in the most touristy part of Salvador, close to the main attractions, but on a quiet street. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

    This is my second time staying here and my room was even better this time around. I was on the 3rd floor with a balcony and wonderful sea views. The breakfast here is honestly amazing. I’ve been staying at various hotels in Bahia/ Salvador and this is the most generous spread. If you need to work there are tables downstairs with lots of sockets.

    Functional hotel walking distance from pelhouriño, so very comfortable position. The receptionist was kind and welcoming, he spoke only Portuguese but we understood each other somehow. Room was clean, bed comfortable and air conditioning worked fine! Good complimentary coffee in the morning. I worked very ok for my short passage in Salvador!

    This must have been our best 3-4 star hotel in our 4-months south-america-highlights trip. The room with free view of the ocean, the safe hotel location at the beach and the excellent, varied breakfast were superb and memorable. An easy 20 minutes taxi-ride took you to the historical centre of Salvador. Highly recommended!
