Mountain and Comox Bay Scenery were great.

Mountain and Comox Bay Scenery were great. Downtown Courtenay had many interesting shops, good coffee shops and bakery. Traffic across river can be slow at times. Adjacent to Comox is a bonus with Comox marina, beautiful sea views and Comox airport is 4 km from Courtenay. Courtenay is walkable. Chocolate shop/bakery on main street not to be missed.

Stopped here one night before flying from Comox airport. Seemed a nice local town and residential area with small independent shops. We didn’t have time to visit any nearby attractions or eat at local restaurants.

People were nice.

People were nice. Beaches along the coast were lovely and a good place to stay for visiting Courtenay itself and to use as a base for visiting other places. We ate at the Atlas Cade the first night and it was so good we went there again the second night. Great wait staff and great food.

We stayed in Courtenay to try to go skiing, but...

We stayed in Courtenay to try to go skiing, but unfortunately, this winter has almost no snow, but that's ok, it was our first time in town and it was nice, we had great food at Local and The Hen and Hog Cafe, I definitely recommend those two places.

Nice town very convenient for shopping and dining The accommodation was excellent nice friendly host good breakfast would come anytime again to stay there Very recommended and relaxing it was a excellent experience Thanks to the host Good restaurants close by special Avenue bistro excellent food and breakfast at the bed and breakfast

With a stroll through the river area I again appreciated all...

With a stroll through the river area I again appreciated all the hard work of citizens determined to prevent flooding and also warning about personal safety near the water and on the bridge. The variety of shops is interesting. This trip we walked the river trail to the viewpoint to appreciate the Courtenay River joining the ocean. There are plenty of coffee shops, a brewery and bakery and great ethnic preferences for dinner dining. I always enjoy our visits.

We stayed here as we're on a budget whilst skiing at Mount Washington just a short drive away. Bay View Hotel exceeded our expectations. 5 star service, cleanliness and absolute attention to detail. The management and staff are positive, highly motivated and seem to have a perfect recipe to make our stay as comfortable, welcoming and as friendly as possible. Our children (and us) loved the pool, slide, jacuzzi and hot buffet breakfast. Well done to all the staff and thank you. We're DEFINATELY looking forward to coming back soon!

I only stayed in the hotel one night before heading off on a photography trip. The room was spacious and the ensuite bathroom a good size. I didn't use any facilities within the hotel and checked out before breakfast, so can't comment on any food. Reception was staffed 24/7 so the early check out wasn't a problem.

The on site restaurant, Locals, is pricey but excellent. There are some beautiful walks around the property. The staff were very helpful. The rooms are spacious and the architecture is interesting—not your typical hotel room.
