Nakusp might be a small place, but it's like walking in a garden when you walk on the boardwalk. The flowers and trees are so beautiful and different to what I've ever seen. And the people are very friendly. Hoss & Jill's Bistro has the best food in town. And the Visitor Information Centre is wonderful too. Not forgetting the Museum, just awesome...so much history.

The people in the community were welcoming and friendly.
The people in the community were welcoming and friendly. We were there for an art show in the wonderful little Studio Connexion Gallery, and met quite a few of the local residents, all of whom loved living in Nakusp. The weather was ideal, and we enjoyed several hours on the waterfront, as well as a couple of short drives to scenic locations on the lake. We'll definitely plan a long trip next time.

We are seniors which visited at the height of summer. The town is beautifully decorated with lovely manicured mini flower gardens (of many varieties of perennials and annnual) on every street corner and businesses on the Main Street. This is both a year round and summer cottage town with everything one would basically require for a summer lake holiday. We enjoyed one of the nearby mineral hotsprings. We walked along an easily accesable walkway along the lakefront. I noticed a marina. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants, with ample parking and sidewalks. Very accessible, clean and neat! Murals on many outdoor walls. Friendly people! I will be back!

Quiet town, except for bikers.
Quiet town, except for bikers. Nice municipal park, amazing playground for kids of all ages. Has a working movie theater. Good restaurant selection. Some interesting stores on the main street. Hot springspricey, and bland (save for the hummingbirds). Easily walked, even on hot days.

This is a beautiful town set on a beautiful lake and surrounded by beautiful mountains. It is full of nicely maintained and signed buildings from its historical past. The lakefront walk alone is worth a visit to this pretty, clean well - kept town. Be sure to enjoy a meal on the deck of the historical Leland hotel right on the water.

The waterfront park, gardens and boardwalk are stunning, with benches provided to enjoy the view of the lake and mountains. The Beach is sandy and the water is clear and clean for swimming. Quaint town with friendly people and lots to do in the area. It is a short drive from the town of Nakusp to the hot springs and camping plus resort right at the hot springs.

Nakusp is a small town and the hotel is towards one end of the main street so much is accessible by walking and that is certainly a plus. On the other hand the name implies a position closer to the lake than is actually the case. It is not so much a Lodge as a conventional motel which is on the whole reasonable value for the price charged. I did, however, enjoy my stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Nice large room, clean and comfortable. The room was on an alleyway that is greatly in need of sprucing up but that would be a responsibility of the town . it is too bad because it does give the place a bad vibe. The town of Nakusp is generally beautiful though and in a spectacular setting,
