The view was amazing. The room was impressively clean and luxurious compared to other Best Western Hotels I've been to. The restaurant within the hotel was so convenient and it closes at 11pm. The proximity of the beach is perfect for family with small kids. We never get to see the sunset and sunrise outside our room. The weather unfortunately turned sour on the day that we came. Oh, and the complimentary hot drinks by the reception was an icing on the cake.

The hotel is located on the north side of Tofino, right by the water. It was nice, clean, and even the sofa, where the 3 person had to sleep, was comfortable. There is also a free shuttle bus that goes all the way to Long Beach (a couple of times a day) that stops right opposite the hotel (seaside).

Have been to Tofino 3 times now and as a senior I find it to be overpriced and overhyped. If you are young and into the surf scene then Tofino is a must go. Otherwise most of the activities found there (except any unique scenery of course) can be found in less expensive places.

Here is a tourist destination that is expecting the best from visitors and sets up to serve all comers. With EV fast chargers, accessible in-sidewalk bike pumps and a progressive attitude to water bottle usage (water fill station for reusable containers to reduce single use plastic), and directing public parking fees back to improving local infrastructure, this is what every tourist town should aspire to. Recommend getting the HONK parking app as all paid parking signage includes the location code making parking easy without having to feed the meter.

I first visited Tofino 40 years ago.

I first visited Tofino 40 years ago. It is now more like a tourist spot and less like a fishing village. The natural beauty has not changed. The people are still very friendly. If you like biking you should plan for that. There is a 40 km bike path mostly through the forest, and mostly flat.

I first visited Tofino twenty years ago.

I first visited Tofino twenty years ago. It was a quaint, small town that had incredible views, top rated restaurants and excellent ways to experience the area. We couldn’t wait to revisit the area. It has grown considerably and it has become a real tourist trap. It’s now overrun with tourists, the top rated restaurants no longer exist, and it now attracts a younger population. As a senior, I was deeply disappointed that my recollection of Tofino no longer exists. Like many Canadian destinations, it caters to attracting tourists, not maintaining the main reasons why the destinations were popular in the first place. I have loved Canada most of my life, but this was my very last visit.

Excellent location! Cool cabins with a small kitchen, sofa and comfy bed. All staff were exceptional and very friendly!! Family and pet friendly. There was a pool and hot tub. The town of Tofino is a short 10 mins drive by car away. Close to many beaches and Pacific Rim Park. We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Village and we would come back again. We really liked our beach strolls and looking at starfish on the island during low tide.

I think this is the best accommodation for visiting in Tofino. The host is very nice. Very clean, comfortable and good enough width of room. The breakfast was so good and variety of food. There is a beach just 2 min walk away from the hotel, it was a very beautiful view. Feel like not so affordable, but I was satisfied with the experience in the hotel.

The location is beautiful, the hotel has amazing character rooms that are unique and great for photos! The room was clean, had a french press, and a very nice cushioned sitting area directly by the window. The staff was super welcoming, and provided a jar of coffee grounds & a jar of cream which was very unique and made the visit feel personal!
