It has small town feel— it reminds me of downtown Indianapolis back in the early 2000s. It’s quiet but there are things to do and visit. I recommend Winnipeg for a slower pace and a small city feel. It’s not overwhelming and relatively easy to navigate around.

The Museum of Human Rights is amazing.

The Museum of Human Rights is amazing. The zoo put on its best for us with the polar bears giving us quite a show and the seals mesmerizing us. The Forks has a lot to offer - food, shops, antiques, river views, etc. The buses were very convenient and affordable - even to the airport! What a treat to be in a place that does not put a premium on bus service to the airport! Yay Winnipeg!

We only had one full day in Winnipeg, so there is much more of this welcoming city to see. We spent most of our time in the Forks area. We visited the Human Rights Museum. Very emotional, but we appreciate admitting to past mistakes and working to correct them instead of pretending they were never made. It was a beautiful July day. Other than the museum we spent the entire time outdoors. Everyone we met was friendly.

For some of the places I had hoped to visit, one needs a car. I did not rent a car and the private hire cars like Uber and Lyft did not go to one of the places I had hoped to visit. There were no tours to that place available. So I suggest that if you are travelling in by plane or train, that you rent a car for the places further out from Winnipeg.

Parking on the hotel site makes a huge difference in Winnipeg. The Humphrey is close to all major tourist spots- The Forks, Exchange District, WAG, and Museum of Human Rights. I recommend a trip across the bridge to St. Boniface district- The cathedral, Grey Nuns museum, French Cultural centre and University are wonderful to visit in all seasons.

I like that it is located downtown and is walking distance to a tourist attraction. Also it is very quiet in the room, there is usually an outdoor patio bar playing loud music next door in the summer, but you don't hear the music and noise in the room. The breakfast food is also great and accommodates a gluten-free diet( bonus)! Thank you for making my stay comfortable. This is my go-to hotel when I come into the city. Recommend it!

It was the most horrible hotel in the universe, it full of junkies and prostituts and I firmly believe that who ever will stay there more than 5 minutes will get murdered ( and that was the filling in all of Winnipeg, NOT EVEN JOKING!!!!)

Centrally-located in downtown Winnipeg. The room was typical of modern and contemporary style. Clean. Stylish. Good views of downtown Winnipeg as, the North-facing wing had a really neat view of the night skyline of Winnipeg.
