We stayed here only for the one night but it was amazing experience. The owner of this hotel is very nice and friendly, the view on the mountains is gorgeous and the diner was so big that I’ve barely finished my dish. The hotel itself looks like it had renovations pretty recently (no mold in the bathroom or any kind of dirt on the walls etc.) Our room was super clean and cozy. Wonderful.

This place is amazing! In the middle of Altdorf next to the Theatre. The apartment is very big and well maintained. Very comfortable and quiet. The parking is a bit tricky to find but if you’re not sure just park at the COOP supermarket (it is next door) check in and ask the host how to get there. Speaking of the host, Louisa is amazing and super friendly. Her restaurant is one of the best in Altdorf so make sure you try their food! Highly recommend this place!

Lovely comfortable room with full length windows and a fantastic mountain view to wake up to. Beds and bowls had been left for our 2 dogs too so that was a nice touch. The breakfast was really good with tasty local produce and the lady on reception (who served us breakfast too as the reception was in the restaurant) was very friendly. Switzerland is never the cheapest place to go but we found our stay to be good value and we'd definitely like to return.

The staff were very friendly.

The staff were very friendly. The owners (Gaby and Andy) gave us hints for where to hike in winter and loaned us walking sticks. The view from our room was beautiful looking at the mountains and lake across the valley. We assume summer will be beautiful as well. The restaurant was also excellent with a good selection and service. Breakfast included with the room was also great. Altdorf was a nice little village and people were helpful. We plan to return with our children and their partners.

Altdorf is a small village in central Switzerland.

Altdorf is a small village in central Switzerland. It takes about 30 minutes to visit, so it can be a stop on a longer trip. The main monument to see is the Tell Tower.

Altdorf is a village with many narrow streets and alleyways, and various shops, including cafés and pastry shops. The famous Nussbäumli (walnut tree) is about a 20-minute walk from the football field. From there, you have a magnificent view over Altdorf and Schattdorf, and the surrounding mountains. The Tell monument to William Tell is a popular subject for photographs.

Beautifully designed hotel in a gorgeous setting. The terrace was fabulous to have a drink, read a book and soak up the amazing views. All of the staff and owners were very welcoming to both us and our 2 dogs. The food at the restaurant was exceptional we would highly recommend!

We stopped in this little town on our way to Zurich and we found the hotel was in a superb location, just 50 mts from the main square. Parking is not easy but Rita solved the problema for us. We are quite thankful for that.
