Newly opened, beautifully decorated, air conditioned bedrooms, great facilities, family-run and extremely friendly. Set on the banks of Lake Lugano, the terrace, where you have breakfast/ drinks has amazing views across the lake. The breakfast is outstanding- freshly baked breads to start, followed by homemade waffles, and finished off with any type of eggs and bacon. Fabulous orange juice and tea/coffee. The owners also recommended an Italian restaurant 3 minutes walk away, and even reserved a table for us. The food and staff there were amazing too! Villa Patria is a little gem! Can highly recommend!

It was a truly special experience. The breakfasts felt like those in a five-star hotel – a variety of cheeses and cold cuts you could reorder, freshly home baked pastries, and all of this included in the price. On top of that, we had access to SUP boards, which we used to explore both sides of the lake, and bicycles for magical rides just 10 minutes from the Italian border, where we enjoyed a chilled Aperol. We had an amazing room with air conditioning – something you don’t usually find in Switzerland. A special thank you to our hosts, who were always available, ready to help, and happy to provide anything we needed to make our stay in their apartment truly wonderful. We absolutely loved our stay!

Another fantastic accommodation with a great view. The staff was very friendly and personally shown us the nice and clean room. Sadly, I only stayed for 1 night. I will definitely stay here again if I come by this way and more night of course.

Our stay was simply marvellous! Morcote is truly beautiful and the Relais is an exquisite little hotel. The design and interior is really well done and it’s even more beautiful than in the pictures. Everybody from the staff was really nice and attentive, especially Alex :) We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Very chic hotel with amazing view. Great spa area. Breakfast is good, many kinds of pastry, but as for vegetables there were only tomatoes. We’re traveling with a dog and it was so nice when we enter the room and saw small treatments for our pet, as well as a special towel. Defiantly would like to come back. Great spa area.

Great spot not far from the Italian boarder and make sure to go into Brusino Arsizio there are a couple small parks and you also have very nice swimming areas as well and small cafe and restraints. Make sure to go across to Morcote and there is a small 2 hour free parking with disc before the park house which is great if not wanting to stay longer.

The town is smaller than others (e.g., Morcote), but not overcrowded (like Morcote). Its lakeside location is excellent, and the transport links are very good. Vouchers are available for public transport, museums, etc. The town is right on the border with Italy, so you can easily pop over for a very good and affordable dinner.

A good location on a side road.

A good location on a side road. Picturesque village with a church and a few restaurants. Boat landing stage. Valley station of the Brusino Arzisio cable car on Monte San Giorgio and to Serpiano. A good starting point for activities such as hiking, boat trips, excursions to Italy, cycling, and swimming.

A beautiful restaurant with a lake view and a view of...

A beautiful restaurant with a lake view and a view of Morcote. The accommodation has its own private access to the water with a comfortable lawn for sunbathing. The owner took us across to Morcote in his own boat, accompanied by great music. We'd love to come back!

My expectations were met.

My expectations were met. The location is close to the border, making excursions, for example to the market in Luino, quick and easy. Brissago Island is also highly recommended. There's a beautiful mountain road near Locarno over the Alpe di Nèggia (Indemini) with views of Lake Maggiore. A very good restaurant and pizzeria in Maroggia near Rovio offers a scenic drive up the mountain with views of Lake Lugano.

The location is super - our room had lake view. Must be stunning on a sunny day. It rained when we were there. Breakfast was very good and quite diverse - however there was just on thing of each (one slice of ham, cheese..) so I believe a man would have left the table hungry. It was plenty for me. The hotel lady was very nice and helpful.

The most idyllic location imaginable. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The facilities, including free sup & bike use, were excellent. The owners showed the utmost hospitality during the absolutely divine breakfast. The best hotel I’ve stayed at, perfect in every way.
