I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Friendly staff, good breakfast and coffee. The room was very comfortable I did not hear the church bells that often in my room so it was very comfortable.

A very cozy and spacious apartment with multiple bedrooms that allow privacy even for larger groups is located in a picturesque village and offers a convenient position for trips to the mountains as well as to Vaduz and other interesting destinations in the vicinity. Communication with the owner was smooth. The apartment is superbly equipped, and I hope we will be able to return there next year. The house is located on a quiet street that leads directly to the square, so you are both in a peaceful environment and right in the center of the town. The greatest advantage is the private parking space that is available, as well as a very pleasant outdoor seating area, which we happily used for breakfast or afternoon coffee.

We had a great stay at Hotel B&B Stossplatz! The breakfast, the staff (Katrin and her mother), the service, convenient with a parking space right outside, the proximity to the Appenzell city center, restaurants, train station and more - was really great! We could not have wished for better accommodation during our hike weekend in Appenzellerland! Highly recommended and we will of course return!

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We loved it so much! The room and view were amazing, bed comfortable and the staff were so lovely and gave us good tips for what to do! Easy to park, beautiful walks around the hotel and it had such a beautiful outdoor area for breakfast and dinner. We wish we could have stayed longer. 10/10 from us!

Beautifully situated, a well-maintained village with...

Beautifully situated, a well-maintained village with friendly people. Easily accessible by public transport, many hikes can be done without any problems using public transport. There are various restaurants and small pubs, and everything you need for daily life is available. A stay in Gais is definitely worthwhile.

I did a fantastic hike from Gais to the upper Gäbris,...

I did a fantastic hike from Gais to the upper Gäbris, absolutely beautiful, about 1.5 hours uphill, quite steep, but fantastic views of the Alps at the top, great deck chairs, the large biotope pond behind it is definitely worth seeing, then a little further down there's a farm with a village shop and food available despite the corona measures. A truly fantastic, beautiful hike!

The location is perfect for travelers who enjoy being outdoors or want to explore the Appenzell region. Appenzell is very close by. We also visited Schwägalp, which is about a 30-minute drive away.

Great location to all of the Appenzell activities. Wonderful hostess and breakfast outstanding. Definitely would stay here again! Very nice outside area with goats and ducks. Beautiful landscaping.
