The room was clean and comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay overall. Although the bathroom was shared, it was well-maintained and had all the necessary facilities, making it easy to use without any issues. The location was fantastic—just a short walk to the train station and the city center, which made getting around very convenient. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option with great access to transportation and the main attractions, this is a solid choice. The fact that breakfast is an extra charge, even if not luxurious, is something to consider. The flexibility of bringing your own breakfast items to prepare is a nice advantage.

Wonderful service, great food, lovely decorated rooms and bathrooms -- and extremely accomodating management. I had made a booking mistake, booked one night too early. Hotel manager greenlighted applying the payment to our actual stay instead of charging us more. We're very pleased and will be glad to return to this place.

The arrival to the hotel was surprising, as it was a small road used by public for access to walking tracks and visitors to the hotel. It was a lovely sight to see the hotel at the end of the road, and the area was very nice to experience, so close to the city but surrounded by forest. The check-in process was easy, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful with all queries. They even pointed us to the best way to travel into Basel with public transport. The room was well appointed, evidently newly refurbished and everything was extremely clean and well maintained. The old glass windows was a lovely touch of charm, as were the short stories on the bed, which was a lovely little surprise. The following morning breakfast was well laid out, a simple affair with a diverse choice of bread, pastries, cereal, fruit and with eggs and coffee to order, there was nothing more that was required.
