Excellent location in lovely zernez! Rooms very beautifully done , and cosy and spotlessly clean . Bathrooms spacious and modern. The included breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in a hotel in our travels in Switzerland !

Wow! Where do I begin! When you approach the village you will be in amazement by the Castle of Tarasp that you see set high up on a rocky hill! Then when you arrive at the hotel, it looks like a scene from a fairy-tale! Beautiful flowers everywhere and the structure of the building is very pleasing to the eye! The staff are super friendly and very kind! They will make sure that you are having a wonderful time! I was surprised when I saw my room and the spectacular view from the windows! I had the single room with the four-poster bed and no detail was spared! The architecture in my room was amazing and beautiful woodwork too! The bed even had a remote control so you could sit up or put your feet up! Nice stereo system too! When you look out the windows you see snow capped peaks, a beautiful lake, green pastures and if you stick your head out the window and look to your right, you see the most Amazing view of the medieval Tarasp Castle! There's a beautiful garden filled with flowers located on different levels of the property! When you're walking through the halls, staircase and dining rooms, you will be taken back in time by all of the pictures and alpine memorabilia! The place is just so colorful to look at! There are picturesque hikes all around the quaint little village! Breakfast and dinner were very delicious too! When I come back to this area, I will stay here again! Thanks for making my visit so Spectacular! 😁

Great place, a palace! We were 4 days there (4 nights & 4 breakfasts) and in 3 evenings there was some evening program: on Friday 16th Feb. there was this great young lady Cinzia Regensburger playing piano and singing together with another young woman and sometimes even the barmen was jumping in from the bar, grabbing the microphone and singing. All the audience was joining in and hearing this Romansch language and all this people singing together, it was like a fairy tale. The next day there was a masquerade, people were masked into the years of 1920s, and they have done really a great job. Afterwards there was great live music and dancing, full of joy. The 3rd day there was a presentation of some book, but we came too late so we didn't join. I was reading the evaluation of the Scuol Palace before arrival and I brought the electric heater from home, but not only that we didn't need it, we were even cutting-off the heating in our room since it was too warm. Breakfast was also great, and we didn't get bored after 4 days, it means that there was enough choice (personally, I like to eat something different every day). Regarding the parking, it's not big in front of the palace, but you can cross the nearby bridge over river Inn (En in Romansch, if I got it well) and there's a parking, that's 200 meters away. It means, you stop your car in front of Reception, you take your stuff to the room, and later on you move your car (in case if you didn't find empty slot). For the check-in, there was no trouble even for my son who arrived around 23:00 hrs, because the keys were left in envelopes at the Reception desk. Checking out is also simple, just drop the key in a nicely decorated box. Internet speed was good, hot/cold water and shower were great. Yes, please bring your soap and shampoo, it was stated on their website, no bad surprises. But, the place is majestic, it reminds me a lot of the movie "The Grand Budapest Hotel".

Guarda is a great place to stay as you can walk around day or night and enjoy the beauty of the village and the houses. Staying here first time I was nicely surprised by a possibility to make coffee/tee for a whole day for free. Another surprise was a breakfast, the exact portions size of muesli/pudding/fruit salad served in the glass cups. My room was clean and large with a nice view over the Engadine valley. I have to mention a woman from Tourist Information - lovely, friendly and extremely helpful.

It’s amazing. Almost impossible to explain. First is the village - a tiny, ancient, beautiful location with graffiti decorated houses. Then there is the magic of the hotel. It is so characterful and charming. Walls and ceilings are carved timber. The dining room is stunning. The lounge is comfortable especially with the fire going. Food is superb for dinner and breakfast. Staff are delightful. It ‘s unique.

The village of Guarda is absolutely beautiful. One of the loveliest places I’ve visited in Switzerland. We were really happy to find this nice apartment to stay 2 days there. The place is really clean and well decorated. We also loved having animals nearby, especially the goats. The views from the different windows of the flat are breathtaking – real life paintings. We couldn’t stop looking at them!

Typical small swiss hotel, tucked away at the top of the hill …from the frenzy of today’s world. We had the breakfast in the main part of the hotel with a fabulous view, overlooking the valley. Super friendly staff!!! Helpful with everything. Great breakfast!!
