    A Swiss village with a real mountain feel. La Chaumiere Cafe in the main street is excellent with superb views. Easy to reach by train from Bex, or bus from Aigle, as parking in the town is difficult.

    We used to visit regularly for skiing & in the summer when we owned a flat in Leysin. Villars is busier with better facilities generally. There was a medieval festival at Ollon that was interesting. Visiting Montreux & Vevey is around 45 minutes. Restaurants are all expensive but the local supermarket was well stocked. The go cart descent from Roc d’Orsay and Parc Aventure are good fun for kids & adults! Booking on line for Villars Mountain Golf course is easy & the first nine holes being the best.

    We were skiing for 3 days in March and so towards the end of...

    We were skiing for 3 days in March and so towards the end of the season when the snow on the lower slopes wasn't so good by the end of the day. The resort is good for a long weekend, but I think a week would be too long as we would be doing the same slopes over and over. The trip to the Glacier 3000 was well worth the extra ski pass cost. It's very cool. The village has some great bars and a good selection of restaurants. We went to watch the local ice hockey team in the playoff finals which was a lot of fun and free.
