The couple managing this Guesthouse are very warm and welcoming. They took good care of us, meeting us when we reached the train station. They arranged transport for us to do our treks at different sections of the great wall. The weather was not in our favour on the first day but we enjoyed the good company and friendly conversation over many cups of tea. Our beds were also comfortable, and it was convenient to have attached toilet with good supply of hot water. There are not many food options around but we purchased very delicious meals and ate at the Guesthouse. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

Stayed for 2 nights with my family of 6 adults. The house is super comfortable. Beds 10/10. Bathrooms are superb. Service is exceptional, Andrew went out of his way to help us with anything we needed. Breakfast beautifully served. Quiet surroundings. Simatai entrance easily accesible by taxi for 10 rmb/p/p, a 10 minute ride that the host will organize for you. Thank you for everything!

Excellent organisation by the host ( who has a good english) to have the most wonderful Great Wall experience. He did everything for us ( drives, tickets, drop us for the sunrise, uncrowded place).

I love everything about the place. Its proximity with the Great Wall Mutianyu section, the all-around service from Fung Wuy, the motherly care from Ms. Li Pieng, the cleanliness of my room, the very good food, the overall ambience of the place--felt like you are visiting a relative. I was traveling alone and this experience definitely gives me the confidence to do it again.
