Beautiful resort with lush gardens. We just liked everything about it. The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice terraces facing flora and fauna. The restaurant provides pleasant seating and a good breakfast. The (thermal) pools and jacuzzis are very nice and relaxing. We also enjoyed the happy hours at the pool side. An important point to mention is the very well trained, pleasant and helpful staff. Would definitely go back there for a stay in La Fortuna.

Loved the place and beautiful views of Arenal volcano when I first woke up and open the curtains. Veronica, the receptionist was very kind and always ready to help when we needed something. Wifi worked well, mattress very comfortable, breakfast was good (served in the nearby hotel).

We did a tour of Costa Rica and it was probably the best place we stayed, beautiful new rooms, little modern kitchen, beautiful shower and jacuzzi! The view from the top balcony (each room has one) is breathtaking. I have never seen anything like it! Friendly staff, easy to communicate via what’s up any time! 10 minutes from the Arenal volcano.

Great hotel, good location for our purposes. The pool and grounds were beautiful. The casita was a perfect size with two double beds and private bathroom. Walking distance to a wonderful restaurant that served us a free welcome drink and dessert after dinner. Service was very efficient. Excellent breakfast! Pura Vida.

We love the ease of walking the town for most anything you...

We love the ease of walking the town for most anything you need. The tours we have taken have been wildlife, the volcano and we hope to get back again to see a few more that we just didn’t get fit in. The tours pick you up and get you back easily. The people of Fortuna are all so nice and helpful. Our favorite spots are Arenal Monara for lodging and Ecotermales Hot Springs for relaxing

This is too-busy area packed with too many tourists who are perfectly fine paying too much for too little. This appears to be the start of what I call "plastic tourism," where people are content being sucked into overpriced, commercialized experiences. There were too many people doing tick-box tourism, taking pictures of themselves rather than the gloriously beautiful area they were in. There are some genuine "Costa Rica" experiences to be had, but they are rare. I doubt I will be back.

Mirador Silencio trails were wonderful for wildlife viewing...

Mirador Silencio trails were wonderful for wildlife viewing (monkeys and toucans) with a hike to the 1968 lava flow line and views of nearby lakes and the volcano. Ecotermales hot springs was excellent with beautiful grounds and pools and great lunch and bar drinks. It had a quiet relaxing vibe with very few children/families. Our guided sloth tour near town was great.

Touristy, and can get crowded.

Touristy, and can get crowded. If you're looking for off the beaten path, this is not it. Offer is huge and feels like it has lost character. Traffic can be hectic. If you're looking for an authentic Costa Rican experience you're better off elsewhere.

It is worth spending time in Fortuna.

It is worth spending time in Fortuna. Unfortunately it was raining, and I got influenza. Fortunately I got to do the hot springs, the hanging bridges and Rio Celeste before I started to feel really sick. I enjoyed the tours fully and shout out to the guides for their caring, and uplifting guidance. Fortuna is easy to get around and everything is within reach, including laundry, local travel agencies, and bus service for budget travelers, with route San Jose or Alejuela ( La Radial Terminal) - Cuidad Quesada - La Fortuna.

The hotel has a great pool and thermal pool area, embedded in a jungle garden. The pools offer different temperature zones, they are nicely designed and the water is clean. A huge breakfast buffet and a wide range of dinner options make it easy to just stay in the resort, which is located a few kilometers outside from La Fortuna. On the compound is a mirador, and when you are lucky with the weather from there you will have good views of the Arenal volcano.

It is located in the center of La Fortuna which is very convenient. The breakfast is amazing! We especially love the Muesli. The staff are extremely nice and try their best to help you. The reception lady even offered to do our laundry sind all laundry services were closed and we needed to wash our clothes urgently. They have air conditioning and hot water. The hotel has everything you need. I would definitely come back to this place if I’m in La Fortuna!

Great hotel on the edge of La Fortuna. Modern, clean and spacious rooms with a lovely terrace and view of the volcano. The gardens are beautiful with birds all around. There was a convenient parking space outside the room. Pool area was nice too. I liked the room fridge and there is a good selection of places to eat and shop on the doorstep.

Unfortunately the weather was bad, but for this you cant blame anyone. The Hotel itself, and the rooms are very good. The staff is nice. The tours they offer are too expensive from my point of view, but still they offer a lot.
