I travel a lot and spend a long time away from home, so cleanliness, comfort, and beauty around me are very important. I found all of this at La Tigra Mountain House. The beds are wide, the mattresses are comfortable. The hostess of the house is very attentive and caring. And I would like to highlight the view separately. It's fantastic!!! The Platanar and Porvenir volcanoes are visible as if in the palm of your hand. Sunrises, clouds running at eye level, and hovering birds attract and compel you to stop and enjoy life. In the morning, I tried to exercise, but it smoothly transitioned into meditation... As they say, it's better to see once than hear a hundred times!! Come and see for yourself. I recommend it...

Location, staff and all facilities are really great. We were on our honeymoon and they upgraded us to our own lodge. Pool was nice, hike was really cool and the food was really delicious. We also saw a baby sloth just metres away from the reception which they showed us uppn arrival. All in all a visit worth remembering, thanks again!

The location is amazing, your own hire car is highly recommended. The resort is a unique nature experience with passionate welcoming staff. The hot springs, river, both restaurants, guided walks were all amazing. Only regret is not staying for 4 nights instead of two.

The cottage/house was super cozy at very "quiet” place. Leydi, the owner, was super nice and friendly. We had three choices for breakfast. On our request she made the breakfast a bit bigger and shared with us some complimentary bananas from their own garden. We had/saw a sloth on a tree, right in front of the house. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen with dinner few appliances and very basic equipment.

Everything is incredible. Super peaceful, as you see in pictures. Distant from La fortuna mess but an easy ride there. Marcela and fabio are incredible hosts. They will cook a local traditional breakfast for you and put binoculars for you to see the surroundings. This place is surrounded by nature, so expect insects, frogs , birds and others. They won't hurt you. The house is fully equipped for you to cook and store your food. Has a small workout area, chess, cards ,books and an amazing ping pong table ! Room is big and cleaned. The Internet is not incredible, which makes a good reason for you to enjoy the property 🥰
