The staff was friendly and attentive to my concerns. Air conditioning was working well and the pool was very clean and wonderful. The breakfast was very good and the location is peaceful after a long day.

The hotel location was perfect for us as we were exploring the area. The Centro Comercial Montegeneral is within walking distance from the hotel. The drive to the the Perez Zeledon central area was about 15-20 minutes to Dominical around one hour. The hotel itself has an onsite restaurant, pool, spa and gym. The hotel staff very helpful and courteous especially Carlos and Stephanie too we are studying Spanish so we really appreciated they were able to speak and understand English as well as Spanish. The restaurant server and overall great guy Bernie made our dining experience extra special. Our room was spacious, clean comfortable beds and lots of storage space. Good internet service.

Basic but neat, clean rooms in a safe area at such an affordable rate. I had 3 beds in my room so could be even cheaper if splitting the cost. Praditos bistro is part of the property and has a really nice menu and poolside dining and bar area. Highly recommend this place—plus super close to town center (i walked to it in less than 10 mins).

VERY spacious - both indoors and yard. Nice patio area to sit out. The house was solid with a nice layout. The kitchen was great to work in and had a large fridge - nice! Laundry area with modern washing machine - sweet! Ceiling fans in living room and bedrooms. (A/C would be a treat in the bedrooms - but I was aware there weren’t any). Very clean. Our stay was very relaxing. Our host made it easy for us to access the house. He did not live at the property. We communicated by WhatsApp & phone. He was always quick to respond and made sure everything was good! We were away from the hustle and bustle in a residential area which had an awesome local restaurant and bar in the neighborhood. It was hard to leave to explore the city.

San Isidro is a transit city; staying there can be very useful because it's close to several tourist attractions and the price is affordable. If you have transportation, it's easy to get to other places; otherwise, the stay isn't practical.

Not a typical tourist destination. But a nice, perfectly normal little town with some lovely offerings (restaurants, culture) here and there, and very good connections by car and especially by public transport to the beach and mountains.

It's a very clean city, with many commercial areas.

It's a very clean city, with many commercial areas. People dress appropriately and well. No danger from thieves was observed. There were few police officers. The weather was a bit hot, but bearable. It's a town that is evolving and growing economically.

My wife and daughter stayed at the hotel, while my other...

My wife and daughter stayed at the hotel, while my other daughter and I climbed Chirripó. They had a wonderful time, as the town of San Gerardo has several other attractions, such as hot springs, a river, and waterfalls. On our last night, after descending the mountain, we all spent time together at the hotel and had a fantastic time.
