Amazing place, quiet, private outdoor shower, little patio in front of every bungalow overlooking the pool, outdoor kitchen has everything you need to make coffee and breakfast, the hosts recommended and helped us book a catamaran tour for us for the next day that turned out to be the highlight of our stay in Tamarindo! This is not like your generic hostel for backpackers, we stayed in a basic room with shared bathroom facilities and it felt like we were splurging on luxury! Super modern, so clean, fantastic bedding, hot showers with great pressure, complimentary shampoo/body wash, very quiet in off season. It has some great activities and atmosphere in the main area, my partner played in poker night on Sunday, and every night people from around the town come to hang out and drink there. There’s a pool table, tour desk, pool etc. l didn’t really engage in much activities but loved the friendly atmosphere and things to do. Also a short 2-5min walk to playa grande beach to surf or hang out. Has free parking (which saved us $10 from parking at playa grande). Has some restaurants nearby that you can walk to as well, although if you’re backpacking and don’t have a car it is quite far from Tamarindo etc so just a heads up you’d have to pay for a taxi etc if you’re interested in doing that. This kind of area is best suited if you want to chill at the beach or surf and that’s about it. We had a car so we could adventure around and outside of the town more so it was great.

Muchas gracias to the owners from Hotel Casa Carlota. The Hotel is near from Tamarindo, but you may be need a car to go there. For us it was perfect far away from the trouble. But its close to a supermarket. The room was very clean and we had enough space. You also have a fridge and a coffeemachine. We used the kitchen outdoor in the cooking area for the breakfast. There‘s also a swimmingpool, which was cleaned everyday. The owners are very friendly and they also give us good suggestions. I visited BoHo Tamarindo with my parents in early December. We had adjacent rooms, settled in a quiet corner of the grounds facing the forest and hammocks. Johanna was an excellent host and was very friendly and responsive via whatsapp for any additional needs and questions later in the day. BoHo is in the PERFECT location in Tamarindo on the quieter and more scenic end of the beach closer to Playa Langosta. It is an easy walk anywhere to town but just the right distance from any craziness. It was the perfect place to relax in between activities and they were kindly able to make slight modifications to breakfast to accommodate my mom's "picky" appetite. Keep an eye out for the family of howler monkeys who live in the neighboring forest! We would also recommend booking a massage through the hosts, which my mom reviews as the best of her life. Another bonus was the resident dog, Iron, and cat (she might ask to come in your room!) If we return to Tamarindo we would not hesitate to stay here again!

The property is so central to the main area. There is a fabulous pool area with an ice machine and great amenities. The room is a perfect size and very comfy beds. The staff were so lovely. My phones and purse were stolen and they did their absolute best to help me and even offered to stay another night free of charge to help in the situation I found myself in.
