It is a very appealing place in a newly renovated chateau dating from the nineteenth century with art deco features which are very nice. The reconstruction has been done with a good taste. The room was spacious, nicely furnished, equipped with coffee and tea facility. There were two glass bottles of water, very good quality cosmetics (Botanica trade mark) and it was warm and spotless clean. The self check in was with no problem, we had a parking place just next to the hotel, placed in garden, with lovely terrace, which must be gorgeous in summer time. Only after arriving we have realised that the breakfast is served from 8a.m. and we had to leave at 8:15. We contacted the staff which in no time offered to prepare the meal a bit earlier. We very much appreciated this gesture of concern. Definitely a place to visit again.

The hotel was such a lovely place to stay - the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious (excellent coffee, too), very handy for exploring the town. The shower was excellent, and the mattress extremely comfortable. Our dinner in the brewery restaurant was very well prepared, the beer was extremely good.

We booked a family room, it was lovely, spacious and cozy -it had 2 bedrooms, lounge with large comfy sofas and a large TV, it had separate bathroom with bath and shower and a separate toilet. They also served a very nice breakfast.

A charming, quiet little town, and the hotel is right on the...

A charming, quiet little town, and the hotel is right on the lake! Thousands visit in August for the folk festival! Café Casanova is well worth a visit. The figures in the roundabout at Easter and Christmas are also quite original! Definitely worth a trip!!!

The old center is unfortunately a ghost town.

The old center is unfortunately a ghost town. Closed and barred shops. Nice square with a castle, unfortunately inaccessible burnt-out church. I recommend a visit to the castle. Because of the history of the local Wallenstein family. Nice Café Casanova open from morning.

Unlike the surrounding towns, Duchcov breathes history.

Unlike the surrounding towns, Duchcov breathes history. First, there is the local castle, and then there are several churches, one of which is reflected in the Barbora pond, where local ship modelers organize several events a year. And when the modelers are not there, you can take a boat ride yourself.

The room facilities would deserve renovation.

The room facilities would deserve renovation. The toilet was not well anchored, so the whole bathroom was leaning. The central heating was banging all night after being turned on, so we didn't get any sleep at all. I think it's up to everyone to decide what they want to accept.

It was a short stay, 1 night.

It was a short stay, 1 night. The hotel is adequate, clean, the staff is helpful and pleasant. The weather was not very good, but the surroundings are quiet. I can recommend it for those who are not demanding and still prefer cleanliness.
