A newly renovated family driven hotel where the staff is very kind indeed and where everything works. I had a bright room and every morning I enjoyed a solid breakfast in nice surroundings. A nice place to wake up in the morning, and a nice place to return to in the evening.

As I long time worked in tourism industry I eagerly choose new places and hotels to see are they worth visiting and recommending. And this hotel surely are worth it! Hotel is recently opened, so everything is nice and fresh, bathrooms quite big, toiletries available. Enough of clothes' racks that is a rare thing in most of hotels. Beds are comfy and spacious. Decent breakfast, good coffee. There is a kettle in room for tea/coffee too. Hotel is located in close proximity to sights of the Old Town, everything is within walking distance and if needed, metro station "Mustek" is round the corner which is convenient if you will go to the airport by bus ( the same metro line that leads to Nadraži Veleslavin from where the bus to the airport goes). Nice neighbourhood. Reception works 24/7, staff are friendly and professional. Hotel has 2 elevators each in different part of the hotel so you can chose the one that is closer to your room.

FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale façade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Prague Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city centre after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

Beautiful city amazing architecture most sites are within walking distance so much to do and see But costly especially central tourist areas ! One particular Irish bar charge £22 pounds for a red wine and a Baileys Watch out for service charges even if you have basically served yourself they still add it on ! Many places to eat so look around Trams are easy and cheap so use them but most of the main sites are central and all within a good walk The Museum is a must and so is the castle up on the hill and on your return if you walk over the Charles bridge at duck you can catch the lamp lighter lighting up the old gas lights on the bridge

Prague is a city worth visiting.

Prague is a city worth visiting. It has a very beautiful midieval architecture and the old town and Charles Bridge are my favorite places from all. It is beautiful any time of the year to visit it. It has very nice restaurants and coffee places and lots of sightseeing to do and concerts to attend. You can do day trips to other places from there too like Karlovy Vary and Dresden. It has the best apple strudel I have tried! It is the most romantic capital city in Europe I believe.

Prague is one of the most beautiful and walkable cities in...

Prague is one of the most beautiful and walkable cities in Europe. With 24 or 72 hour transit passes for about $10 or less, it is incredibly easy to get around via the many trams, metros, suburban trains, busses, ferries, and more, besides just walking. An entire trip can be spent simply by walking around the city and taking in the jaw dropping sights, eating incredible Czech food, and appreciating the cheap drinks. If you are looking for a more affordable Euro-trip experience, a trip to Prague is just as good for a weekend as it is for two weeks. While beautiful in the snowy winter and delightful in the warm summer, autumn is undoubtedly the best time of year to visit. The fiery orange and yellow leaves blend with red tile roofs to make a vista from the castle that is unforgettable. Combined with the fact that the summer crowds have cleared and the Christmas markets are still over a month away, October is ideal for experiencing this city to its fullest.

The only problem we had in prague was the private taxis we were charged 150 euro for a journey that costs us 4 euro the night before. I am sure we were not the first and won't be the last. Also I am sure the police know about the scam and are doing nothing about it. We were lucky we had the money. Also I was there 2 years ago and we used taxis and they took cards can't understand why it is all cash now. Something not right with that.

I loved everything about this hotel. It was immaculately clean and always smelt fresh (I guess that's why it's named Hotel Essence)! Breakfast was good and the location of the property was excellent - 5 minutes walk to the Old Town square. The rooms are a great size with an oversize bathroom. However the best thing about this hotel is the Reception staff - they were super friendly and helpful whenever I had any questions. The best trained staff I have come across in my 2 months of travel across Europe😊

The location of this hotel is excellent for walking around the city centre, just around the corner from Wenceslas square and then walk down the boulevard to old town square. Plenty of restaurants and bars around to suit all tastes. The room was really nice with a fantastic view across the city to the castle, beds were nice and comfy and a good hot shower. The rooftop bar is also good for a drink to watch the sun setting.
