We vere nicely surprised, I think the photos do not reflect how nice this place is. Clean, freshly renovated, with new furniture. Beautiful garden to relax, silence around and starry sky at night. Close to the town center where all restaurants are. Tasty breakfast and very hospitable host.

A very cool place for lovers of hiking. Quiet, out of the way, very clean. Special plus for very nice service! The room we booked didn't have dishes or a refrigerator (of course, it wasn't a shortage at all - just no such amenity in the type of room we chose) nevertheless, after our inquiry about the availability of these things, the owners prepared for us an electric kettle, dishes and even ordered a small refrigerator (they had previously provided their own). Amazing :-) Greetings to all the staff!

I went during the summer holidays.

I went during the summer holidays. Tisa has some walking opportunities near the rocks - you enter by paying a small fee (50 CZK) and they give you a map. There were a lot of children: the rock formations are numbered, so it's nice for them to make a treasure hunt out of it. Close to the parking near the church, there is a wooden shed with a coffee shop where they sell amazing ice creams; and you can sit outside on their terrace. The village is rather quiet, it has 1 main road with a few cafes/restaurants.

Very beautiful and charming destination... surroundings...

Very beautiful and charming destination... surroundings...excursions...local people are nice...I highly recommend staying at the Camelot hotel... beautiful walk through the Tisza walls, friendly staff and good food in the Tourist cottage. Nearby is the Děčínský Sněžník lookout tower, a trip here is worth it.

Ostrov is an excellent starting point for hikes in Bohemian Switzerland and into Germany due to its proximity to the Bielatal valley, and is also ideally suited for relaxation due to its quiet location!

You can enjoy authentic Bohemian cuisine in the surrounding...

You can enjoy authentic Bohemian cuisine in the surrounding area, and hotels are cheaper than in Germany. All the sights of Saxon Switzerland are easily accessible by car. The Hirsch restaurant in Petrovice is highly recommended; it offers delicious food in a wonderful atmosphere.

Tisá and its rocks are a bit of a hidden gem.

Tisá and its rocks are a bit of a hidden gem. A beautiful rock town with a nature trail and views, extensive forests in the area, vanished German settlements and ubiquitous rock formations are definitely not on a par with the far more popular rock towns in the Czech Republic. The main route between the rocks is also very safe and suitable even for small children.

A cozy, privately run pension with clean, spacious rooms and a nice view of the surrounding countryside. The hosts are very friendly, but speak no English and only a few words of German - but with hand gestures and a little help from Google translate we made it work. The vistas of the nearby sandstone mountains is the main attraction of Tisá for sure, but the free and stable wifi was a nice surprise as well :)

Perfect destination for stays in Tisa - close to the sandstone towers, close to Kačák - farm with small animals. Super equipped for the stay = cleaning facilities for washing dishes etc. We had nice weather so we did not stay much time inside but it was great. The main road is far away and in different direction that the window in the studio = calm and amazing sleep (proven by metrics on my garmin :))

We are used to travel, and this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Everything is breathtaking, and we got a very warm and professional welcome by Barbera. She was showing us the room, the spa area - and we felt very welcome. The dinner was also amazing and the breakfast Spot on with a big range of food.
