Very clean and welcome, Mrs B. was extremely friendly, polite, supporting with any need. Breakfast very reach and tasty. Train station down the road, you can see it from the building. Parking lots not available in front of the house but in the train station (no charge) - very convenient, but dont forget to take your tooth brush from the car:)

I chose this hotel for a weekend getaway in the Black Forest, as it was close to some hiking paths I wanted to explore and it offered half-board and a fitness centre. The staff was extremely friendly and I was able to communicate with them in English, since my German is still quite rudimentary. There was enough parking space outside when I arrived, but a garage at an extra cost can also be arranged. Google Maps directions were also very clear and precise. The hotel is comfortable overall. I especially enjoyed the Christmas decorations, mainly in the dining room. Speaking of dining, the food was very good and they had plenty of options the evening I ate there, including vegetarian. The breakfast buffet was also plenty enough, with eggs, cold meats, cheese, cereals, fruit, etc. The gym is quite small, but I could get a run and some stretches done (I took a towel from my room, and maybe you should bring a water bottle as well, but there’s a little buffer station by the pool that is next to the gym. I also managed to use the pool and do some laps, but I was hoping to find a place to sit or lay down, like a chaise-longue, but there wasn’t enough space and everything was taken over or “reserved” with towels and robes by other people. But the water temperature was ok and the pool looked cleaned. My tiny complaint is about the room. The room itself is more than adequate for one person, but the bed was very uncomfortable and there was only one very soft pillow. I had to fold some of the towels inside the spa basket to make an extra “pillow”, but I didn’t sleep well at all. Also, the bed was quite spacious for one, but the duvet cover was single-sized… Luckily I found some blankets in the wardrobe to keep the duvet from coming off near my feet and to keep me warmer. Also, the bathroom is quite dated, especially the shower. Also, no body lotion, so I’m glad I brought my travel-sized one as well as my shampoo and Havaianas (for the pool). Tourists come to Bad Peterstal to explore the Black Forest.

Tourists come to Bad Peterstal to explore the Black Forest. It is a picturesque little town . Apart from the hiking , there is not many other activities. Neither is there many restaurants/bars/cafes . I did notice a No of lorries driving through the quite busy road that cuts through the town. I would have thought you could call a taxi , but I couldn’t find one ! Big plus for me was it is a 1 hr 30 min train journey to Strasbourg .

A charming little town with Black Forest flair.

A charming little town with Black Forest flair. A diverse network of well-marked and well-equipped hiking trails. Highly recommended. Unfortunately, like so many other Black Forest valleys, it also suffers from noisy motorcycles. But Bad Peterstal can't be blamed for that. A more comprehensive solution is needed.

It was quiet, but there were restaurants and a very good...

It was quiet, but there were restaurants and a very good café in the village. From Peterstal, you could easily reach various spots in the Black Forest. Unfortunately, some paths were closed due to railway work. Those who wanted to hike had the opportunity to use several well-marked trails. Unfortunately, there was no possibility to rent bicycles/e-bikes.

Signage to find the hotel from the north.

Signage to find the hotel from the north. Thanks to alternative navigation software ('Waze'), we managed to find the hotel. Officially, a road of more than 10 km (?) was not yet open to traffic to the Flair hotel in one direction. There are few alternative routes (diversions) in that area, for example, in case of an accident or other accident.

WE STAYED IN BAD GRIESBACH.

WE STAYED IN BAD GRIESBACH. THE ONLY DISADVANTAGE WAS THAT THERE WAS NO SUPERMARKET OR BAKERY IN THE VILLAGE. YOU HAD TO GO TO BAD Petersburg (3 km AWAY). YOU COULD ORDER A PACKED LUNCH AT THE HOTEL.

Very beautiful hotel in some small cute village. There are a lot of different hiking routes near the hotel. The stuff is professional, polite and would do everything that you feel comfortable. The food was delicious, they really know how to cook everything. The SPA zone was new, modern and beautiful. I'd be happy to come back there again.
