We stayed in hotels before and after sailing, and rented bicycles one day to explore Ṻberlingen, about 10 km away, where there is a beautiful botanical garden. Bodman-Ludwigshafen is a village of about 3000 people with a long Lake promenade where you can also go swimming right off the promenade without having to pay. There are different restaurants, many walking routes right out of the village. The small train is convenient right in the village we’re you can get around easily and for free if you get 2 visitors passes from your host. They are also valid for buses and some venues as in museums and castles. The village seems to do a lot to reduce, reuse, recycle ♻️ The views are beautiful and the distance to Austria, Lichtenstein, and Switzerland are short. The location of the hotel was perfect. Especially after the snow, it looked like fairy tale. Spa area is superb and clean. The morning breakfast was wholesome. I would certainly like to stay here in the future again. Unfortunately, I did not have time to try the restaurant.
