FAQs about hotels in Düsseldorf

An Economic Centre on the River Rhine

If you’re visiting Dusseldorf in February you’ll witness the bright parade of Carnival, if you visit in July you can take part in the Largest Fair on the Rhine. No matter what time of year you visit you will find a city bustling with festivals, art, music and museums.

Much of the action occurs in the Old Town, otherwise known as the Longest Bar in the World due to the amount of cafes and bars serving a dark beer called “altbier”. The centre was faithfully reconstructed according to the city’s foundation walls after the Second World War and offers a historical insight to the city.

Museums range in exhibitions from history at the Stadtmuseum, to fine art at Museum Kunst Palast and even to a museum dedicated to mustard. If shopping prevails over culture then head to the Königsallee, a picturesque strip of high-fashion shops set alongside a tree-lined canal.

With Düsseldorf International Airport located only 12-minutes from the city centre, Düsseldorf is a great German vacation destination. Booking.com makes your holiday even easier with over 200 hotels, apartments, and other accommodations to choose from.

Düsseldorf is a great city for a weekend.

Düsseldorf is a great city for a weekend. You can just walk around the city easily and get lost in its parks and beautiful places. If you have more time, you can always visit its museums, which have lots of great collections and exhibitions.

A beautiful city, especially the Altstadt.

A beautiful city, especially the Altstadt. Close to the Rhine. Really, really good connections to other cities such as under half an hour train to Essen & Cologne. Public transport was brilliant. The airport in the city also had good connections, making it easy to travel to from England. There were lots of self-service 'sandwich' shops which were such good quality. I wish we had things like this in the UK. We went up the Rhine Tower (Rheinturm) which had amazing views of the city. The city had beautiful architecture, especially in the Altstadt.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were extremely pleasant. The hotel’s location near the main station is very convenient. Breakfast was reasonable, though there’s room for improvement. Overall, good value for money and ideal for those wanting to stay close to the station.

Duesseldorf is an amazingly beautiful city.

Duesseldorf is an amazingly beautiful city. If you like to party it is obviously good for that as well since the bar scene seems to go all night long during the week. I'm no longer into the bar scene I just know that when I had to leave at 3am to catch my flight they were all still going strong on a Tuesday night. Besides that the architecture and the river scenes are amazing!!!

Düsseldorf was overall a nice city, recommended for people who like the arts (as there are multiple museums -> you can do the art card to visit all of them in 48 hours). It's also the location of the biggest Japanese community in Europe, so if you like Japan, be sure to give Little Tokyo a try; there are some very good restaurants there.

Düsseldorf was a a revelation.

Düsseldorf was a a revelation. It is a such a cool, cosmopolitan and friendly city. Definitely take the open top bus tour to get an overview of the city, then explore. The Altstadt (old town) is wonderful linking the modern shopping centre and the Rhine. Enjoy the quaint streets full of cafes, restaurants and shops. On a night time it is electrifying. It is one big party as its 260 bars and restaurants come to life and all of life is out for a party. All ages, all communities, all nationalities all in one human smorgasbord of friendship and fun. Any type of food from around the world is available. So reassuringly human and safe. The city centre shopping district is a shopper's paradise. Also I recommend a visit to Benrath Schloss and an evening cruise off the Rhine with an Aperol Spritz. Perfect long weekend!

The hotel is in a good location, in the outskirts, but both the city center and the airport is directly accessible by public transport. The hotel room was spacious but there was no wardrobe, no mini bar (fridge). Red light was all the time on on the TV which was a bit bothering during the night, close to the bed. I asked for housekeeping every second day but they forgot about it so my room was cleaned only after a reminder. Breakfast was great. Wide selection of food. Hotel staff was mostly nice. Overall good value for money.

The check in process was easy. The hotel location was excellent, we got a bus straight from the airport. The room was comfortable. We were able to store luggage in a secure locker after we had checked out. The price was very cheap. We will probably stay here again when we return to Düsseldorf.

This is a good hotel that is close the city centre and in the middle of the Japanese district. Great selection of restaurants around. Breakfast was good too and rooms clean. Rooms with a view are more expensive. However, you‘ll have the best view from the restaurant on the top floor.

Extremely friendly and helpful landlord. Clean and straightforward accommodation. No frills. Ideally placed for the airport - but less so for the city centre.
