We stayed at this location because it was also a great view point for ships along the Kiel Canal and it's close proximity to Schleswig Air Base which was holding a NATO military air exercize. We travelled from Western Canada to be part of this event. Well worth the location plus if you have an EV, their recharging rates are very reasonable if your car is less than 50% charge.

We love coming here as a stopover on our holidays to Denmark. It's an excellent place to dine. The menu offers a variety of meat and fish options, as well as a daily special. There's also a wide selection of wines, which you can also purchase to take home.

For us, Fockbek was a stopover on our way to Hirtshals (Denmark). We didn't actually get to visit the town, but we did take a walk around Lake Armensee (Fockbeker See), which was quite pleasant.

Lovely apartment and great host.

Lovely apartment and great host. Kitchen with everything you need for a good stay. Beautiful garden and lovely terrace morning and evening. Exciting city with lots of history. We cycled along the canal and also used the many free ferries. We are still enthusiastic about Schleswig-Holstein as a holiday destination. There are also good cycle paths with excellent signage.

A real hidden gem! We stopped here for one night on our way from Denmark to the Netherlands and were pleasantly surprised by both the hotel and the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the lady who seemed to be the owner spoke excellent English. Our room was spacious and clean, and we slept very well. The breakfast was also lovely. It was nice to continue our journey after such a pleasant stop.

We stayed here 1 night when travelling through Germany. It was easy to find and had parking at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. What a lovely dinner, and the staff and manager were super attentive. Breakfast was also fantastic. An ideal stopover for us.

Comfortable room with good bathroom/shower. Convenient parking. Staff welcoming, very pleasant and fluent English speakers. The restaurant was excellent, and will probably leave a longer lasting impression than the hotel... Very quiet location.
