Best feature of the hotel was the food in the restaurant. The quality was up there with the best. Breakfast needed to be less expensive. Had it been €13 -15, we would had eaten there. Lovely courtyard attached to the restaurant for warm evenings. Lack of atmosphere in the main hotel. Bar not open or being used. Such a beautiful building and it was a shame not to be able to enjoy it to the full. Poor storage in the newer bedrooms. The woman who greeted us at reception was so kind, and we had messaged in advance that we were vegan (just so they knew for breakfast), and they went out of their way to bring in vegan items like soy yoghurt and vegan cheese for our bread in the morning.
